The cameras at the back of the smartphones are getting better every day, however, smartphone manufacturers these days are equally focusing on the front cameras as well, because yes, there are people out there who still can’t start their day by taking a selfie. We have been seeing smartphones coming with front cameras having a higher megapixel count. There are also smartphones which come with dual cameras on the front. Well, to keep up with this trend, Gionee has today launched the Gionee A1 in India at an event held in New Delhi.
The Gionee A1 was first unveiled last month at MWC 2017, and today, it has been launched for the Indian market. The Gionee A1 is a selfie-centric phone which comes with a 16 MP camera on the front having f/2.0 aperture. For regular shots, the A1 comes with a 13 MP primary camera at the back.
Speaking of other specs, the Gionee A1 comes with MediaTek’s Helio P10 SoC under the hood which is paired with 4 GB RAM and Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. It sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD display which is kept on by a huge 4010 mAh battery. The device boots up to Amigo OS 4.0 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat, and, it comes with 64 GB of internal storage. Well, if you take too much selfies and that much storage isn’t enough, you can expand the storage up to 256 GB via microSD card.
