Motorola launches the Razr MAXX and Razr V in India

Motorola has today made some new and exciting announcements in India by launching the Motorola Razr MAXX and the Motorola Razr V.

The handsets have also been made available in South Asian countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.


The Motorola Razr MAXX has the same features as the original Razr with an all new and upgraded 3300mAh battery and still maintains a slim profile with 8.9mm of thickness. Like the Razr it will be available with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and will receive an over-the-air upgrade to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) later. The new battery makes the Razr MAXX give you an output of 17.6 hours of talk-time.

The Motorola Razr V is the newest member of the Razr family, we even saw the handset launching in China, and is slim at 8.35mm and boasts a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and a 4.3 inch display. It will come with Android 4.0 out of the box and just like the Razr it will have an 8MP camera at the back with full 1080p video recording capabilities.
 
Both the smartphones will come with Kevlar fibre back and scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. Also the smartphones will be have a splash-guard coating that keeps everything safe including the electrical boards inside.
 
The Motorola Razr MAXX will be available starting 21 June in select cities at selected retail stores across India for a retail price of Rs. 31,590. Motorola RAZR V will be made available in Q3 of 2012.
