After numerous delays and leaks, Xiaomi has now officially unveiled its latest fitness tracker – the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, this time with a display.
Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, the company’s latest fitness and sleep tracker. As expected, the device flaunts a 0.42 inch OLED display. There is also a physical button below the screen, which has to be pressed to check the activities. The tracker measures the steps, sleep and even the heart rate.
Xiaomi is said to have employed Photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor for accurate heart rate tracking. It has apparently also used an upgraded pedometer algorithm for gathering better fitness and sleep data. The band, which has a new design, has IP67 ratings for water resistance. The tracker is priced at 149 Yuan (approx. Rs. 1500). Details about the global rollout are not yet revealed.
