Last week, we saw a leaked image showing off Samsung Galaxy S7 Active in “desert camo”, or simply put, gold color. And now this time, we are looking at the leaked specs of Samsung Galaxy S7 Active.
According to an official spec sheet shown to VentureBeat, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC which is paired with 4 GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and flaunts a 5.1-inch Quad-HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display.
The Galaxy S7 Active has 32 GB of internal storage on board with an option to expand the external storage using a microSD card. The photography department on the S7 Active consists of a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.
Being an Active variant, it’s dust and water resistant besides being rugged. While the design of the Galaxy S7 Active is similar to that of the Galaxy S6 Active, the weight of the device has increased along with increased thickness and battery capacity. At 185 grams, the Galaxy S7 Active is 15 grams heavier as compared to the Galaxy S6 Active and is 9.9 mm thicker as well. The battery capacity has also been bumped from 3500 mAh on Galaxy S6 Active to 4000 mAh on Galaxy S7 Active.
Just like its predecessor, the Galaxy S6 Active, the S7 Active will also be exclusive to AT&T. Also, going by the home screen of the render, we can expect the device to be officially unveiled on June 10. There’s no information about the pricing though.
