While the first YU flagship didn’t gain much popularity in the market, YU seems to be geared up again to launch a powerful flagship.
YU, the subsidiary of Micromax, has released a teaser video hinting at the launch of a new flagship smartphone. The teaser depicts the company CEO Rahul Sharma breaking a ship with a hammer, which apparently signifies, that the upcoming YU flagship would break other flagships. While the exact launch date is not mentioned, the handset is expected to announced later this month.
Late last year, YU had launched its first flagship – the YU Yutopia for Rs. 24999. But the handset never really took off in the market despite offering some impressive hardware. YU had similarly boasted about the Yutopia, comparing it with the likes of One Plus 2 etc. Will the new flagship real be a strong killer, only time will tell.
Commenting on the upcoming flagship, Rahul Sharma, CEO, YU, said, “Post the YUTOPIA launch, we have been working at a different clock speed and momentum to break all that’s conventional and boring. Excited to tell you all that our next device is round the corner and its nothing short of Incredible. It’s insanely beautiful and it will break some hearts. It will break records, it will break the conventional, it will break the rules…WAIT, it will break the flagships.”
