Moreover, the new followers have to request you to view your photos and videos and you have full control over it.

Step 1: Open Instagram app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Tap on your profile and select the three dots or settings icon on the top-right corner to enter Instagram settings.

Step 3: Swipe to down and find the option that says ‘Private Account’. Tap the slider to turn it on. Now you Instagram profile is private.
