After several leaks and rumours, Gionee has now officially announced the Gionee Elife S6 in China with the latest USB Type-C port.
Gionee has announced the launch of the Gionee Elife S6, which is the successor to the slim S5.5 but with a 6.9 mm thickness, a full metal body and the USB Type-C port. The device has a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with 77.8 percent screen to body ratio and resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa core MediaTek processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
The Gionee Elife S6 has a 13 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Lollipop version with a massive 3150 mAh battery. The handset is priced at 1699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 18000) and is available in Gold and Platinum colour options.
