After several leaks and rumours, Apple has now officially unveiled the next-generation flagship – the Apple iPhone 6S.
Apple has announced the launch of the Apple iPhone 6S, which is the company’s latest smartphone with the unique 3D Touch which would allow the user to press down on the iPhone’s screen to pull up new menus, activate shortcuts, and generally interact with the device. The device would recognize two touch interactions – Peek, which would allow to press on app icons and other buttons to pull up shortcuts directly into specific features; and Pop would allow to pull up overlays of photos and videos without actually having them take over the screen,
The Apple iPhone 6S maintains the same design language of the previous flagship but is said to employ a new aluminium, which Apple says is its own custom alloy. The device has the same 4.7 inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with Ion-X glass and resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the new 64-bit Apple A9 processor, which is said to be 70 percent faster than the previous processor.
The Apple iPhone 6S now finally has a 12 MP rear facing auto focus camera with dual tone LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The handset is now available in four colour options – Silver, Gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold and would be priced starting at $649 for the 16 GB variant, $749 for the 32 GB variant and $849 for the 128 GB variant.
