Huawei recently launched its latest budget smartphones in India, the Honor 4C and the Honor Bee. Well, we were there at Huawei’s launch event and we got some time with the devices. So, here’s our hands on and first impression of the Honor 4C.
The Honor 4C is priced at Rs. 8,999 and it features some great specs for the price. Check out the specs below:

The Honor 4C features a similar design to the Honor 4X, with the same smooth textured back, The device feels great in the hands and the patterned back helps with the grip. The device is also compact and we had no issues reaching to the top of the device.
The device features a 5-inch IPS display of HD (1280x720p) resolution and from the short time we used the device, the display seemed decent. The screen to body ratio of the display is 76%, which helps in keeping the device compact.
On the front, the device features the three capacitive buttons on the bottom for the home, recents and back. There are the usual sensors and the 5 MP front-facing selfie camera on the above.
The back features the shiny Honor branding, the speaker grill and the 13 MP camera unit. Talking about the camera, the performance was pretty good in the short time we used it and we surely look forward to spending some more time with the device. The camera grill features an anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coating.
The left of the Honor 4C is bland, while the right is pretty busy with the power/lock button and the volume rockers.
The top of the device features the 3.5 mm jack, while the bottom packs in the microUSB port.
The Honor 4C runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with the company’s Emotion 3.0 UI on top. We surely like the user interface and the numerous features it brings like the themes, Magazine unlock and more. Huawei promised that it will be bringing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update pretty soon.
The device is powered by Huawei’s very own 64-bit Octa-core Kirin 620 processor with 2 GB RAM. The device was smooth and consistent in the short time we used it, with no lags at all.
The Honor 4C competes with the likes of Lenovo A7000, YU YUREKA and to be honest, the device does pretty well. We will be working on the full review soon and only then shall we know it it’s capable of beating the competition.
