While Samsung has been taking it slow with its tablet portfolio, the company has now launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab A in the US.
Samsung has announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A, which is the company’s latest tablet offering for the US market. The tablet is available in two variants – one with an 8 inch display and the other with a 9.7 inch display. Both the tablets have the exact same design and specifications including a 1.5 GHz quad core processor with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A has a decent 5 MP rear facing auto focus camera. There is also a front facing 2 MP camera. The device runs on the latest Android Lollipop version with a 4500 mAh battery. The tablets are priced at $229.99 for the 8 inch variant and $299.99 for the 9.7 inch variant and would be available in White, Smoky Titanium and Smoky Blue colour options starting from May 1.
