Android to own 50% of the global smart phone market by 2012

Symbian, Windows Phone, Blackberry, iOS and all alike, are going to be conquered. Google’s Android platform seems to be the ruler. According to researches, Android will have a 49.2% share in the smart phone market by the year 2012. By 2011, it will surpass Symbian with a share of 38.5% followed by the iOS with 19.4%, Blackberry with 13.4% and Windows with 5.6%.

There has been a great increase in the number of sales of smart phones, and Android has to be credited as they have efficiently reduced the prices by providing low cost smart phones.
