We just reviewed the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and the company has launched another mid-range device in India which is targeted specifically towards the Asian markets – the Sony Xperia C.
The Sony Xperia C has a 5 inch display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. The device is the first from the company to feature a MediaTek chipset and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor with 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The phone also has a rear facing 8 MP Exmor RS sensor camera.
The Sony Xperia C has support for dual SIM and the users are prompted for SIM selection before making a call or sending a message. Each SIM card can be customised with separate ringtones. The Battery STAMINA Mode helps to increase the standby time by preventing battery-draining apps from sending and receiving data whenever the screen is off without blocking notifications.
The Sony Xperia C is priced at Rs. 21490 in India and would be available across all Sony Center and major electronic stores across the country. The handset comes with accidental damage cover for 6 months from the date of purchase. Further, Sony has tied-up with Airtel to offer 1 GB free data download for the first two months.
