There is a mobile phone user on every continent and every country. However, the number of subscribers is not the same all around. According to the data submitted by the International Telecommunications Union, calculations have been done to find out the number of people for every SIM card subscription across the different continents.
So as you can see, Africa has just 1 mobile subscription for every 2.4 people, that’s about 4 phones for every 10 people. If you look at Europe, there’s a mobile phone subscription for every 0.8 people, or you can say 13 mobile phones for every 10 people. The differences look small, however small numbers don’t always mean a smaller value. There will be a big difference across the same country or region but this calculation is on an average basis, so clearly there might be even more, or maybe lesser people per mobile subscription.
