Samsung reveals Exynos 4212, dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 chip processor

Samsung has announced a new dual-core ARM Coertex-A9 called the Exynos 4212. Compared to the previous generation the new processor is said to increase the processing power by 25%, 3D performance by 50% and lower the power consumption by 30%. The Exynos will be used in all the upcoming Tablets and Smartphones, and it is expected that sampling of Exynos 4212 will start during the fourth quarter this year.

Currently Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 run on dual-core Tegra 2 chips from NVIDIA.
