The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S – successor to last year’s Mi MIX 2 – is going to be announced tomorrow at an event in China. Thanks to past leaks, we already have a fair idea of what this smartphone would come with, however, just ahead of the official announcement, Xiaomi CEO has revealed some of the details of this smartphone.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun on Weibo (Chinese social media) has confirmed that the Mi MIX 2S will sport a ceramic body while also coming with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. While Jun didn’t reveal any other details of the Mi MIX 2S, it is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 flagship SoC.
A video of the Mi MIX 2S (attached above) has also surfaced online that reveals a bezel-less design, ceramic back and dual rear cameras in the top-left corner in vertical orientation. The video also shows fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone, and, the front camera is still located on the bottom bezel.
Moreover, there’s no notch at the top of this smartphone (phew) which is a good thing. At least we personally prefer a smartphone without any notch. What about you?
Well, having said that, the Mi MIX 2S was rumored to come with in-display fingerprint scanner, however, the presence of a traditional fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone means either the Mi MIX 2S doesn’t have any in-display fingerprint scanner, or, there will be another version of this smartphone that will rock in-display fingerprint scanner. In any case, we don’t have to wait too much to know more about Mi MIX 2S as we will know everything there is to know about this smartphone tomorrow once it’s unveiled.
