We have been hearing about the Vivo V9 for quite sometime now. The Vivo V9’s live images have already leaked online showing us what the smartphone would look like, and, it was reportedly going to launch in India on March 27. However, Vivo is said to have preponed the launch of V9 in India which is now slated for March 23. And, ahead of its launch, specifications of V9 have surfaced online along with some more live images.
The alleged specifications of the Vivo V9 were leaked by an Indonesian online retailer. According to the retailer, the Vivo V9 is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC which is coupled with 4 GB RAM. The smartphone runs Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo, and, ships with a 3250 mAh battery that keeps the light on.
The Vivo V9 has a 6-inch AMOLED display that has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Thanks to the leaked images, we already know that the V9 has a notch up top which makes it look like Apple iPhone X.
Having said that, the smartphone has a 24 MP selfie camera on the front and a dual camera setup at the back which consists of one 12 MP and one 8 MP camera. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the back.
Well, with that being said, Vivo Indonesia has jumped the gun and has released a video on YouTube (attached below) that confirms features like Face Unlock, FHD+ FullView Display (of course), 24 MP camera on the front, and, dual cameras on the back.
