It’s been quite a while – almost more than a month – since Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus rolled out an Open Beta update for the OnePlus 5 and the 5T. The last beta updates that these smartphones received were back in January that brought along call pick-up gesture to the phone. Now, the latest beta updates that have been released by the company for both these smartphones bring in some more cool stuff.
OnePlus has released OxygenOS Open Beta update 6 for the OnePlus 5 and OxygenOS Open Beta update 4 for OnePlus 5T. The major highlight of these updates is that they upgrade the 5 and 5T to Android 8.1 Oreo while also bumping up the Android security patch level to February 1, 2018.
Apart from that, both the phones also get a new auto-pick gesture for calls that allows the users to answer an incoming call by just raising the phone. That’s pretty cool. Besides, the OnePlus 5T also gets full-screen gestures that are now improved. You can check out the detailed changelog of both the updates below.
