Alongside the Alcatel 1T 10 tablet, the smaller sized Alcatel 1T 7 tablet also announced adding to its Alcatel 1T series tablet portfolio. Alcatel is a smartphone brand owned by TCL Communication with a number of smartphones available in the market.
The Alcatel 1T 7 is a 7-inch tablet with IPS HD display (1280 x 800 pixels resolution). The main highlight of the tablet is the latest Android build i.e. Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Just like the Alcatel 1T 10, this 7 incher also features Kids Mode. The Kids Mode includes a set of pre-loaded apps and content such as a camera app for kids, drawing app, games, and built-in parental controls. In addition to the features, the Eye Care mode reduces eye strain by filtering out the Blue light.
It runs on the same internals the Alcatel 1T 10 has, it has a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek MT8321 SoC, 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The battery here is reduced to 2,850 mAh as compared to the bigger 4,000 mAh battery on the Alcatel 1T 10.
There’s a 5 MP camera on the rear side and a 2 MP camera on the front side for selfies or video calling. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB 2.0 port, FM Radio and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The Alcatel 1T 7 tablet along with the Alcatel 1T 10 tablet will be available in Q2 this year in selected countries Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Pricing details aren’t announced yet.
