Back in June last year, HMD Global, who owns the license to Nokia brand of smartphones, launched the Nokia 6 smartphone in India. The Nokia 6 that was sold in India until now came with 3 GB RAM. However, HMD Global has launched a new variant of the Nokia 6 in India which now has 4 GB of RAM.
Apart from more RAM, this new variant of the Nokia 6 also comes with more internal storage, that is 64 GB. For those unaware, the 3 GB RAM variant comes with 32 GB of internal storage. However, you can expand the storage on both these variants by using a microSD card.
Having said that, apart from more RAM and internal storage, all other specifications on this new variant of the Nokia 6 remain the same. Like the 3 GB RAM variant, the 4 GB RAM variant of the Nokia 6 is also powered by Snapdragon 430 SoC. And, while it boots up to Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, you can upgrade it to Android 8.0 Oreo as HMD Global already rolled out the Oreo update last month.
That said, we would like to point out that this isn’t the Nokia 6 (2018) that was launched in China earlier this year. The Nokia 6 (2018) is powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC, and, the Nokia 6 that’s launched with more RAM and internal storage today in India is powered by Snapdragon 430.
