So after loads of leaks and rumours, Research In Motion (RIM) the makers of BlackBerry has announced the launch of its 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and the tablet will go on sale on August 9 starting from Canada.
The 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook will arrive with an inbuilt support for cellular network and allow PlayBook users to have faster connectivity to the internet on the move and will not have to depend on the Wi-Fi hotspots every now and now.
The 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook will have a 7 inch display, front and rear facing HD video cameras, HDMI out, stereo speakers and 32 GB of internal storage. Places where there is no 4G LTE connectivity the PlayBook will connect to HSPA+ network.
The 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook will be pre-loaded with OS 2.0.1, which is also now available for Wi-Fi PlayBook owners as a maintenance update.
Canada is the first country to launch the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, and additional models supporting various high speed cellular networks are expected to be available in the coming months from carriers in the US, Europe, South Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
RIM has also not revealed any details on the pricing of the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook but we’ll update you once we have more information on it.
