Virgin Mobile has launched its GSM services in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Chennai and Tamil Nadu Circle. Virgin GSM SIM Card is available at Rs. 49. It comes with zero balance and lifetime validity. To activate the SIM First Recharge of atleat Rs. 10 is necessary. Apart from Rs. 10 other FRC denominations are Rs. 25, Rs. 40, Rs. 50 and Rs. 100. Default call rates are Re. 1/min for local calls and Rs. 1.5 for STD calls.Two Tariffs - Pay Per Minute and Pay Per Second - are available to reduce the default call rates.
Details of Pay Per Minute Tariff
To activate this tariff you need to recharge with Rs. 13 Voucher. It comes with Rs. 11.79 talktime and 365 days validity. Daily deduction of Rs. 1.5 is applicable to this tariff.
Local and STD calls to Virgin Mobile (GSM or CDMA) - 20 paise/min
Local calls to other network - 40 paise/min
STD calls to other network - 50 paise/min
Local SMS - 50 paise
National SMS - Re. 1
International - Rs. 5
Outgoing and incoming call while roaming - 60 paise/minute
Details of Pay Per Second Tariff
To activate this tariff you need to recharge with Rs. 12 Voucher. It comes with Rs. 10.88 talktime and 365 days validity.
Local and STD calls to Virgin Mobile (GSM or CDMA) - 1 paisa/sec
Local calls to other network - 1 paisa/sec
STD calls to other network - 1 paisa/sec
Local SMS - 50 paise
National SMS - Re. 1
International - Rs. 5
Outgoing and incoming call while roaming - 60 paise/minute
SMS Voucher available for Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerela, Chennai and Tamil Nadu
Rs. 33 SMS voucher is available which comes with 2000 Local and National SMS with a validity of 30 days
Apart from above there is one more SMS voucher available for Chennai and Tamil Nadu. It costs Rs. 34 and comes with 10000 Local SMS with a validity of 30 days.
There is one more SMS pack available which costs Rs. 69 and offer 500 national and local SMSes daily This pack will be available 7 days from the day of launch.
