Ever felt cheated after a cab or a rickshaw ride? Or wished you knew when the next train to Andheri was due? Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited has yet again launched a tailor made value added service for its subscribers in Mumbai. They can now access taxi, auto fares and the local train timetable on their Tata Indicom mobiles via sms.

To avail of this service subscribers simply have to type ‘TAXI' /‘Auto' followed by the ‘meter reading', and send it to 58282 for e.g. ‘TAXI 1.20', to get the correct day and night fare. For the next available train schedule one has to simply type ‘TRAIN' followed by the ‘(source & destination)' and send it to 58282 for e.g. ‘TRAIN Andheri Dadar'. Each SMS will be charged Rs. 3.
