We had reported a few days back about Micromax launching a dual-core processor equipped smartphone running Android called the A85. We now have the leaked press shots of the device and yes it’s the same device that we posted about.
The new A85 is now having almost all the specs that we had mentioned. It will be having a 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra T20 processor with 512 MB RAM, a 3.8 inch display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, a 5MP camera at the back and a VGA camera in the front. Memory is expected to be 8GB in-built with an expansion slot. The battery is expected to be of 1500 mAh to power the device.
The android booster app that’s shown to be running in the press shots shows 43% of RAM usage with 30 applications running, which is not bad at all. It is expected to run on the Android Froyo as of now and we expect a Gingerbread upgrade to it. It will include a document editor (Word, Excel, PDF), Google Search, Predictive text input, Picasa integration, Voice memo to name a few.
It will be nice to see how Micromax will price this powerful Android smartphone to enable consumers have an easy reach to it. What do you feel about this device? Worth it?
Thanks for the tip Ashwin.
