Copycat games removed from App store by Apple

Developers have an idea about a new games, develop it, spend money and put in all hard work and release a new game, just to find out that there is a almost copy of the games out within weeks of the original game’s release. And to help all those hard-working developers, Apple has gone ahead and taken bold steps of removing such copycat games from its App Store.

Addressing some copyright infringement issues which happened to be related to popular games over its App Store, Apple has removed games such as Plant vs. Zombie, Angry Ninja Birds and Temple Jump which were copy of popular games such as Plants vs. Zombies, Angry Birds, and Temple Run. All the copycat games which were removed by Apple were made by one person, Anton Sinelnikov, who had a total of 68 games such games on the App Store but is now left with just 9 games after Apple cleaned out the junk.

Facebook for iPhone and iPod touch updated with Timeline

After releasing Facebook Timeline on web globally and updating Facebook for Android app, Facebook has now updated Facebook for iPhone and iPod touch to v4.1.

Zynga launches Dream Zoo for the iOS platform

Game developers, Zynga has announced and launched a new game called Dream Zoo on the iOS platform. The game is available from the Apple App store and is a zoo themed game where players can collect, breed, and care for the world's most amazing animals in their very own zoo.

Google has released a new version of the Google Search app for the iPad and has said to have added new features to make the app more interactive, more visual and to help you find what you want more easily.

Gmail app for iOS is back in the Apple App Store

It was officially released on the November 2nd, but due to a bug that breaks notifications, it was pulled the very same day. Well we are talking about the ‘Official Gmail app for iOS’ which was released by Google with much fan-fare but was later removed because upon opening the Gmail iOS app for the first time, users immediately saw a "Notification Error," with the following cryptic message: "no valid 'aps-environment entitlement string found for application."

But now Google has announced that the Gmail app is back on the App Store and the bug has been fixed. Google has said that it has received a lot of helpful feedback from users.

Google Translate iPhone App updated, supports more Indian Languages

Google has updated its Google Translate for iPhone app and has added new alpha languages which include Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. These are still experimental alpha languages and you can expect translations to be less fluent and include many more untranslated words.

With this the number of languages supported by the app has now increased to a total of 63 languages.

The updated also enables the ability to view dictionary results for single words and to display romanizations for the new added languages. So even if you can’t read the script the words are written in, you can still take a shot at reading the translation.

The update is now available at the App Store in supported countries, so visit here to download the app.
