HTC had a number of devices launched both on the Android and Windows Phone platforms last year. While the company did fairly well, they are now saying that they will be launching less number of smartphones and tablets in the year 2012.

The company has revealed that it will be focussing more on head-spinning and quality devices rather than launching an array of devices.

The company has revealed that it will be focussing more on head-spinning and quality devices rather than launching an array of devices.
HTC’s UK chief Phil Robertson said, “So 2012 is about giving our customers something special. We need to make sure we do not go so far down the line that we segment our products by launching lots of different SKUs.”
So this means that we might be seeing some spectacular but limited number of new devices by HTC this year, probably the quad-core equipped Edge/Endeavour. We’ve loved the metal unibody design that HTC introduced and we hope we see more of this year. Also, can you please make the Sense a bit more lag free, please?
