While there have been reports that the successor to the HTC One would be called the One+, new reports claim that it will plainly be called as the One 2.
According to the listing on New Caledonia’s Office of Posts and Telecommunications website, the HTC One 2 and the HTC One 2 Dual SIM are mentioned. While there are no relevant details available, both the devices are said to have 3G connectivity. Given that the names have been spotted on a credible French government website, the names could indeed be the real ones.
The successor to the HTC One, which is currently spawning a series of rumours, is well known as the HTC M8. Should the One 2 name be genuine, then the HTC M8 Mini that was mentioned yesterday could get the name HTC One 2 Mini. While we hope the naming convention won’t be confusing, we are eagerly awaiting the announcement to put an end to all the confusion.
