A new update has arrived for Whatsapp for Windows Phone. The new version bumps it to version 1.6 and brings in new features and fixes for the application.

SCAM: Fake Chrome browser duping users off $ 1.99 in WP Marketplace

Okay so scams are not new, especially for Android users and the same has been experienced by Windows Phone users in the recent past and now there is another fake app called the Chrome, which the author Manikandan S claims to be the same as that of the popular Google Chrome browser.

Photo-sharing app Instagram might find its way to Windows phones

Skype to hit Windows Phone platform by early 2012

Every mobile platform has the Skype app, well almost. Skype for Windows Phone is due since a long time, but finally we are hearing news of progress that Microsoft intends to ship its delayed Skype client for Windows Phone as soon as possible.

We have got confirmation that Microsoft plans to launch the app in the first half of 2012, not to forget that Microsoft already own Skype. Then why delay? Microsoft had earlier said that they will deliver Skype for Windows Phone before the end of 2011 but failed to do so.

Update for Whatsapp on Windows Phone takes it to version 1.5

Whatsapp for Windows Phone has been updated to version 1.5. The app has been pretty basic on the platform since its launch, but this update seems to bring in some new features to the messenger app. Off course the app still isn't that intuitive as on Android or iOS, but still is pretty decent.

Microsoft working on the WP SMS bug, fix coming soon

A couple of weeks back we saw a developer Khaled Salameh reveal a bug that caused any Windows Phone running device to crash by just sending an SMS with a particular string and now we hear that Microsoft has found out why this could be happening and is already working on the solution.

Khaled, who brought this bug to the notice of the world tweeted that he has been contacted by Microsoft regarding this issue and they have also found out the root cause and already working to rectify it.
