Bing has announced on its UK blog that it will be bringing two new updates for Windows Phone. Bing Vision and Bing Image Matching for Newspapers will be the latest addition.

Facebook has announced that official Facebook app for Windows Phone has received a major update and the version has bumped onto 2.3 bringing in loads of improvements, better performance and new features to the app.

With the latest version you can ‘Test out your groups. Visit your pages. Look at who likes your posts. Change the banner image. Check out the improved news feed performance. Use the new filters. Explore the improved navigation.’

Skype for Windows Phone already in testing, may arrive at MWC

Multiple reports are popping in and The Verge reports that the Microsoft has already started testing Skype over the Windows Phone platform. This testing of Skype is as for now only limited to Microsoft’s employees.
Skype has been missing from the Windows Phone platform for too long now and when Microsoft bought away Skype it was being said that the app would arrive anytime in late-2011 but that has already passed. Now latest sources have gone on to day that we could see the launch of Skype at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month but it all depends for now on the internal testing that’s on within Microsoft. But we know is that app is almost complete and so a launch at the MWC seems a very viable option.

Vimeo, the video uploading and sharing website has finally released its official app for Windows Phone devices. Now users can record videos over their device and directly upload them over to Vimeo, watch videos and do much more. Though there are many other unofficial apps available, the official app is always an official app.

Okay so scams are not new, especially for Android users and the same has been experienced by Windows Phone users in the recent past and now there is another fake app called the Chrome, which the author Manikandan S claims to be the same as that of the popular Google Chrome browser.

Every mobile platform has the Skype app, well almost. Skype for Windows Phone is due since a long time, but finally we are hearing news of progress that Microsoft intends to ship its delayed Skype client for Windows Phone as soon as possible.


We have got confirmation that Microsoft plans to launch the app in the first half of 2012, not to forget that Microsoft already own Skype. Then why delay? Microsoft had earlier said that they will deliver Skype for Windows Phone before the end of 2011 but failed to do so.
