Nokia and Vodafone launch ‘Nokia Life Tools’ services

Nokia and Vodafone have teamed up and launched Nokia Life Tools services which provide access to relevant content on agriculture, education, healthcare and entertainment.  Relevant content in the areas of Agriculture, Education, Healthcare and Entertainment will be offered starting at Rs. 30per month to the growing rural and semi-urban mobile consumers. Vodafone customers can activate Nokia Life Tools across areas with network availability.

Nokia has taken the initiative and partnered with IGNOU, State Agriculture Marketing Boards, Syngenta, Pearson, EnableM, NDTV among others to create a rich ecosystem to deliver the services.  This service is available on a range of entry-level Nokia handsets including the popular entry level devices and is available in 11 Indian languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada and Punjabi in addition to English.

Nokia Life Tools is basically based on a strong ecosystem connect of Government agencies, Industry players and NGO and has a range of innovative and personalized services covering Agriculture, Education, Healthcare and Entertainment targeted at both urban and rural consumers. These services are designed to address information gaps thus enabling consumers to be better informed and positively impacting their life improvement and livelihood needs.

Vodafone introduces Local Calls at 35 Paise for Kolkata subscribers

Vodafone Essar has introduced a new Bonus Card for its customers in Kolkata. The card costs Rs. 39 and offers all prepaid Vodafone customers to make local calls at 35 paise per minute. 

Vodafone introduces Cricket ‘Super Week’

With the IPL 4 tournament in high gear, Vodafone introduces ‘Cricket Super Week’ which offers free Cricket updates. Now you can surf Yahoo! Cricket, ESPN Star, Cricket Next and Cricinfo free of charge. The new Cricket Super Week offer is valid from the 7th of May till the 13th of May. The offer is valid for both 2G and 3G customers.

Vodafone launches ‘Star of the Match’, get a chance to be on TV

Vodafone is the official co-presenter and ground partner for the ongoing DLF IPL T-20 Tournament and has launched the Star of the Match contest. The contest is offering 74 lucky winners a chance to fly to a different location, watch the match and win an autographed match ball by the winning captain of the match live on TV. Vodafone Essar will sponsor the air travel, hotel stay, and the ticket for these the winners of the contest.

To participate, customers can SMS STAR to 111 and once registered, they are prompted to subscribe to Cricket Score Day Pass (Rs 5 /day) to get an opportunity to be the Star of the Match. The competition will run through the IPL 2011 season to till May 19th, 2011.

Vodafone has been campaigning about a new offer for their customers called Super Weeks. The details of the offer have been released and Vodafone is offering free access to Facebook, Twitter and Orkut. The Super Week offer will be valid from the 16th to the 22nd of April. Vodafone 3G Tariff

Vodafone India has revealed its 3G tariffs for pre-paid and post-paid users. With all the telecom operators now rolling their 3G services in India, the competition is getting tough and all the operators are trying hard to keep up with the competition by providing varied services.

Vodafone is providing services like Video Blogging, Mobile Newspaper, High Speed Internet, HD Gaming, Live Streaming, Vodafone TV and Video Calling. They have introduced a 3G Mi-Fi device along with two 3G dongles. The Mi-Fi device is small device that can connect up to five people to the internet as once. The two 3G dongles provide speeds of up to 3.3Mbps and 7.2 Mbps providing customers with high speed internet on the go.
