Vodafone announced reduction in International roaming rates during IPL 2

If you are going to South Africa during this IPL season then you may enjoy reduced internation roaming rates.Vodafone has announced reduction in international roaming rates for its postpaid customers travelling to South Africa during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
To enjoy reduced internation roaming rate Vodafone's postpaid customers have to select Vodacom as their default network while roaming in South Africa during IPL. Customers can make local at Rs. 12.6/min and international calls at Rs 34.8/min.
All local incoming calls will be charged at Rs 12.5/min and SMS would be charged at Rs 5/SMS. During this period Vodafone Postpaid customers can also enjoy reduced GPRS charges. Vodafone will charge 90 paise per 10kb of data usage. Special

Sixteen Vodafone customers to race to Abu Dhabi for final Grand Prix

Are you a Formula 1 freak? Do you own a Vodafone mobile number? If the answer to both the question is "YES" then you can win a trip to the Abu Dhabi where the F1 season 2009 ends. Few days back Vodafone had announced the ‘Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ – Race to Abu Dhabi Contest exclusively for Vodafone customers. The SMS based competition provides an invaluable opportunity for sixteen lucky customers to win a trip to Abu Dhabi and be a part of the final Formula 1 Grand Prix 2009 in Abu Dhabi on November 1, 2009.

Vodafone has introduced the ‘Election Alert’ service for its customers. This service aims to keep customers abreast on political developments by providing them constant updates on the upcoming general election.
The Vodafone Election Alert Pack will provide four updates daily on the candidates profile, trivia about past elections, information on key constituency profiles, latest elections news and poll results. On the result days there would be 15 alerts or more available for the Vodafone customers. Vodafone has partnered with NDTV for the contents of the ‘election alerts’.
Vodafone customers will get updates four times a day for a subscription charge of Rs.30/- per month. Vodafone customers can dial in *123*527# or SMS <ACT VAElection> to 111 to activate this service. The Election Alerts will be available till May 31, 2009.

Few days back Airtel lauched the first BlackBerry service Plan which was under Rs. 500. But Vodafone has launched a similar plan with lesser price. This plan is branded as "Prosumer Life @ 299" Its price is fixed at Rs. 299 (as the name suggests). Dont rub your eyes it really costs only 299 bucks
This service offers BlackBerry service-users unlimited access to up to 10 supported personal/business e-mail accounts as well as various popular instant messaging services.

Vodafone has launched a new bonus card of Rs 27 which will help its customers to call local vodafone numbers at a reduced call rate at 50p/min to any Local Vodafone number.This new bonus card of denomination Rs 27 allows vodafone customers to call local vodafone numbers at just 50p/ min while the normal call rate is Re 1. Those who want to use cheap promo packs will find this promo very useful. However, this promo does not affect call rates to other networks and neither the sms rates.

Vodafone have announced the Bonus Recharge for the prepaid users that can help them to reduce their Local call tariff.There are basically diffrent options in each circle starting with just Rs. 21 and going up to Rs.50, the Bonus Card with a 30-day validity period allows Vodafone customers to make local calls at 60 paise/minute at any time of the day.

Vodafone has launched SMS at 10paise offer for its customers in Kolkata and Rest of Bengal. Vodafone subscribers can choose from a range of Bonus Cards priced at Rs 11, Rs 51 and Rs 101 in order to benefit from this offer.
- The Rs.11 Bonus Card offers 110 local SMS at 10 paise with seven days validity.
- The Rs 51 Bonus Card offers you 510 local SMS at 10paise with one month’s validity.
- The Rs 101 Bonus Card offers you 1000 local SMS at 10paise with one month’s validity. This card comes with an additional offer of free news alert for a period of one month.
Vodafone launched Lifelong Prepaid for Rs.47

Vodafone launched Lifelong Prepaid for Rs.47. This prepaid comes with a talk time of Rs.5 and a lifetime validity which is available to new Vodafone Prepaid customers. Existing Vodafone prepaid customers can also benefit this offer by recharging with Lifelong at Rs.47. In addition, by paying a daily rental of Re 1, customers can avail low calling tariffs – 50 p/min to any local Vodafone numbers, 60p/min to all other local mobiles and Re 1/min to local landlines.
A customer who does not wish to opt for a daily rental can recharge with Rs 48 and make all local calls at Re 1/min. Vodafone bonus cards can be used along with these Lifelong Prepaid plans, enabling subscribers to avail of low calling local and STD tariffs, SMS etc. A customer will need to recharge with a minimum of Rs 200 every 180 days to continue enjoying lifetime validity benefits.
However people of Tamil Nadu circle will have to pay Rs. 52 to get this new plan. This new prepaid plan offer comes with lifetime validity and a talk time of Rs.10. Local calls to all Vodafone numbers, other mobiles and landlines are at Re 1 per minute and all STD calls are at Rs1.50 per minute.

Vodafone is wooing lovebirds. Vodafone has recently launched a new service called `Dil say' . This is available for both pre-paid and post-paid Vodafone customers across India.
Dil say will provide Vodofone customers access to a love pack which offers three main services- pyar ki paathshala, love-o-logic and Rangeen romance . Rangeen romance Vodafone customers can set love songs as their callertune, ringtone or dedicate it to someone special. Love-o-logic provides customers love analysis and prediction based on zodiac compatibility, romance quotient and loverscope. Love guru from pyar ki paathshala will offer tips through pyar ke funda and rishtey love stories.
The subscription charges of the scheme is Rs 30/month. For service dial 56766 at 30 paisa/min, for activation-SMS ACT LUV to 111 for post-paid and 144 for pre-paid. And for deactivation SMS CAN LUV to 111 for post-paid and 144 for pre-paid.
