Vodafone Essar has announced that its Zoozoo campaign won three accolades - two Gold and one Silver, at the Asia Marketing Effectiveness (AME) awards ceremony. The awards ceremony held in Shanghai, recognized the campaign’s success in meeting its objective and its overall impact in India.The ‘Vodafone Zoozoos’ campaign won a Gold and a Silver in the ‘Most effective use of advertising’ category and the ‘Best Integrated Marketing Campaign’ category respectively. The online Zoozoo campaign - ‘Guess who has a larger fan following than Mickey Mouse?’ won a Gold in the ‘Most effective use of interactive marketing’ category.

Vodafone today announced a music download service which enables customers in Mumbai to download full length songs at just Re.1 per song. This service is available on Vodafone Live to both prepaid and postpaid customers with a basic GPRS connection on their handset. Customers can SMS <Song> to 111 (toll free) and get the link that leads to the subscription page. Customers can browse thousands of popular songs across various genres such as Bollywood, Bhajans, International Hits, Ghazals and more. This service has a search option which helps customers find their favorite songs with ease.
Customers can subscribe to this service on a daily basis for Rs.5 which enables them to download 5 songs in a day. Selected songs will automatically be saved to a personalized virtual playlist titled ‘My Songs’ on the portal and can be downloaded again at no additional charge.

Vodafone launches IPL Bonus Recharge

Vodafone Essar today announced an exclusive IPL Bonus Recharge for all Vodafone Prepaid customers in the country. IPL Bonus Recharge is priced at Rs.71 and offers customers full talk-time (less Service tax). In addition, customers will get bonus minutes equal to the highest runs scored by a batsman in an IPL match on the previous day. These additional minutes will be valid for a period of 5 days from the day of the recharge, and can be utilized for calls to Local Vodafone numbers during night hours.

Priced at Rs. 21, the GPRS prepaid voucher allows the customer to browse upto 200 MB data and comes with a validity of two days.The GPRS voucher is available across all Vodafone Stores, Mini Stores and other retail outlets in Kolkata.

Vodafone today announced the launch of ‘Chhota Comics’ service. Users of Chotta Comics service can access comic strips as well as full length comics of popular Indian and international titles like Suppandi, Chacha Chaudhary, Mickey & Donald, Akbar Birbal, Winnie the Pooh, Hanuman & lots more, on their mobile phones.The ‘Chhota Comics’ services will be available to Vodafone customers through Vodafone Live! Vodafone has announced three new bonus cards for its customers in Kolkata. The cards offer prepaid Vodafone customers with free local SMS and talk time. Users get the option to choose from a range of Bonus Cards priced at Rs 10, Rs 20 and Rs 30.Customers can recharge with Rs 10 Bonus Card and can get a talktime of Rs 6.07. The Rs 20 Bonus Cards and Rs 30 Bonus Cards offers a talktime of Rs 15.13 and Rs 24.20 . All these cards provide 10 free SMS to all local numbers in West Bengal. .

Vodafone launches the ‘Star of the Match’ competition for DLF IPL Season 3

Vodafone Essar today announced the launch of ‘Vodafone Star of the Match’ competition for the upcoming DLF IPL Season III. Through this competition, Vodafone provides an opportunity to all its customers to be seen on national television being honoured by the winning captain during the post match ceremony. The winning captain will present the ‘Star of the Match’ with a personally autographed match ball.One ‘Star of the Match’ will be chosen for each of the 60 DLF IPL matches that will be held this season. Since this is a nationwide competition, Vodafone will provide each winner with a return trip air ticket and hotel accommodation at the city where the match is played.The competition starts on March 9 and will continue till the end of DLF IPL season III.
Both prepaid and postpaid Vodafone customers can participate in the ‘Star of the Match’ competition. To participate, Vodafone customers have to call 121 (toll free), and answer a simple question related to cricket.
Last year Vodafone flew 20 lucky winners to South Africa to watch the IPL match as a part of ‘Star of the Match’ competition.
