Vodafone announces New 3G Plans and tariff reduction

It seems 3G Price War has just begun. We are hearing that Vodafone has also reduced its 3G tariff. Airtel and Idea have already announced reduction in their 3G tariffs along with introduction of a few new 3G Plans.
Vodafone has announced 3 new 3G Plans, reduced the tariff of 2 of its plans and will now provide more data in one of its existing 3G data plans.

Vodafone has launched its first ever Customer Experience Center (CEC) for business customers in Mumbai. The center is an engagement facility designed to enable business customers to explore Vodafone’s communication solutions.
The Vodafone CEC is located at the corporate office of Vodafone Business Services in Mumbai, is spread over an area of 2,500 sq.ft and includes a suite of Total Communication Solutions comprising of Wireline and Mobility offerings.

Whenever we relocate to a new place, the first thing we do is get a new pre-paid connection and go through many hassles. Well now Vodafone is offering a new service that might help you, if you plan to relocate. The telecom company has announced the launch of a unique service for all its post-paid customers across India in which any customer who wants to re-locate from one state to another state can continue to enjoy un-interrupted services from Vodafone.
Customers relocating to different parts of the nation often face trouble securing a local mobile phone connection. It is a big hassle to search for the right tariff plan, service provider, etc. in the new location. Moreover, customers who were enjoying special privileges like higher credit limits, billing details, etc. in their older location need to establish their credentials in their new location.

Vodafone India gets a Guinness World Record for ‘Uninterrupted Conversation’ for 25 hours

Vodafone India has got its name written in the Guinness World Records by providing uninterrupted conversation on its network for more than 24 hours. Now that is something we don’t usually see.
This makes Vodafone India the first ever telecom company in India to get a distinction for its superior network.
Vodafone offers extra talktime of up to 22% in Tamil Nadu

On one hand we saw BSNL announce that it’ll offer less talktime to all its users, thanks to the increase in Service Tax by 2%, Vodafone India has announced that the company is now offering extra talktime to its users in TamilNadu.
The extra talktime ranges from 9% to 22% on different top-ups of Rs. 10, Rs. 20, Rs. 30, Rs. 50 and Rs. 100.

Vodafone has announced that it will be offering WorldSpace Radio across 18 circles in India. This means that customers can now listen to more than 100000 songs across 10 channels, using their mobile handset.
Customers will have access to all the genres of music ranging from old Hindi films, regional folk songs and ghazals. This service also offers song collections around various themes that include love songs, sentimental gems and artiste-specials that users can browse through to enjoy at their convenience. Users can thus get the same old stations that they once grew to love -Radio Falak for its ghazals, a bouquet of stations for regional languages including Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi and the 4 southern languages, and Radio Farishta for old Hindi film songs - brought to you by Timbre Media -the very same team of radio professionals who introduced genre based radio in India with Worldspace.

Getting tricked by spam links, apps etc is very common, for a normal user, on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Though, what is not common is that some big corporate giants are tricked into such things.
So, why am I talking about this on MobiGyaan? It's because I realized that some malicious app has acquired access to Vodafone India's twitter account. Shocked? Even I was when Kunal (Team Member at MobiGyaan) told me about it. He got a DM from @VodafoneIN, here is the screenshot.
Super Zoozoo comic series launched by Vodafone

All you Zoozoo lovers out there we have n announcement to make. Vodafone has just announced and launched an online comic series featuring the much loved Super Zoozoo called "The Adventures of Super Zoozoo". The comic will be available exclusively on Vodafone Zoozoo's Facebook page, and will introduce fans and readers to the vast, black and white Zoozoo universe where crocodiles invade picnics and superheroes don't need secret identities.
If you remember Super Zoozoo made his debut in 2011 to promote Vodafone's 3G campaign. In the 3G commercials, he was portrayed as a superhero with powers. The original idea of the comics is done by Vodafone's digital agency OgilvyOne Worldwide.
Vodafone wins Rs. 11,000 crore tax case

It was back in 2007 that Vodafone acquired Hutchison Essar to enter the Indian telecom market and immediately after the deal was finalised, the Indian Government asked Vodafone to pay a tax amount of Rs. 11,000 crore for the acquisition. Vodafone then appealed for this in lower court and gradually the case moved on to the Supreme Court of India.
Now in a judgement of the Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice S H Kapadia and Justices Swatanter Kumar and K S Radhakrishnan, has determined that the deal is not taxable by the Indian Government and the I-T department of India has been ordered to refund Rs 2,500 crore with 4% interest to Vodafone within a timeframe of 2 months. With this the I-T department will also have to return a sum of Rs. 8,500 crore which the court had earlier asked Vodafone to deposit as security during the early proceedings of the case

New Bonus Cards introduced by Vodafone in Kolkata

Vodafone India has launched two new bonus cards for their customers in Kolkata which cost at Rs 14 and Rs 42. Both the bonus cards offer data and call benefits.
The Rs 14 bonus card provides 30 MB (2G) internet browsing and 25 minutes talk time to any local network, with a validity of one day. The Rs 42 bonus card offers a data usage of 150 MB data (2G) internet browsing and also provides 80 minutes local Vodafone to Vodafone talk time, with a validity of seven days.
