Virgin Mobile GSM,the youth brand of Tata Teleservices has launched some attractive GPRS packs for its customers to encounter the data plans launched by various providers.Virgin GSM had launched their data plans long back in April which gave subscriber the facility to surf 200 MB,20 MB and 5 MB data at the price of Rs.98,Rs.14 and Rs.5 respectively.However as we all know,these packs were nothing but a disaster when compared with the plans launched by other providers.Virgin GSM has re-launched their GPRS Packs now offering data ranging from 5 GB to 10 MB in the price range of Rs.96 to Rs.5

Enjoy 5 GB data usage at Rs.96 EVD recharge,valid for 30 days.
Monthly Pack- 2GB
Enjoy 2 GB data usage at Rs.44 EVD recharge,valid for 30 days.

These packs are lot better than the previous packs.However Tata Docomo is undoubtedly providing better GPRS packs but we cant rule the fact that Virgin GSM is a virtual provider working on Tata's network.This seems like a fair deal for people who are already on Virgin Mobile as they can now get paid for incoming,make On-net STD calls @ 20 paise and to add to the kitty,now Virgin GSM is also providing a good set of GPRS packs.

Virgin Mobile India has today introduced a local calling pack at Rs. 45 for all its GSM subscribers. This Pack offers calls to any local number at 1paise/2seconds. This pack comes with a validity of 30 days and is available across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa, Mumbai and Maharashtra circles.The benefits of this pocket friendly pack will be available to Virgin Mobile users on both minute and second billing profiles.
Commenting on the announcement of the new pack, Mr. Madhusudan Mandyam, CEO, Virgin Mobile India said, “Our research shows that youth have a high propensity to talk more and are always on the lookout for innovative budget solutions to address their mobility needs. Virgin Mobile GSM,the youth brand of Tata Teleservices is offering free local and national sms to subscribers on their minute plan without any special pack.This offer is only available to customers on "Per Minute Plan" paying Rs.1.5 as their daily rental.Customers on "Per Second" plan can recharge with Rs.13 (which also offers a talktime of Rs.10) to shift to "Per Minute" plan.Following are the details of this offer:
- Virgin to Virgin (CDMA & GSM) unlimited Local and National SMS per day subject to fair usage policy of 1000 sms per day.
- 100 local SMS per day to any other network.
Subscriber will be charged 50 paise/sms after the above quota of free sms's is exhausted.
Initially subscribers on Per Minute plan used to pay a hefty daily rental of Rs.1.5 for making local outgoing calls at 40 paise/min,STD at 50 paise/min and local/STD virgin calls at 20 paise/min with SMS rates at 50 paise. Giving free sms's on per minute plan is a smart move by Virgin as this offer might stop people from migrating to "Per Second" plan.

Virgin GSM,the youth brand of Tata Teleservices launched their services in Maharashtra and Goa circle today.Virgin GSM is already present in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka ,Kerala, Orissa and Tamil Nadu. Virgin is offering its subscriber in Maharashtra a tariff of 20p/min for STD and local calls to any Virgin Mobile number without any pack.Virgin Mobile customers calling any other network will be charged at 40p/min for local and 50p/min for STD calls again without any packs but with a daily decrement of Rs 1.5/day.The tariff is valid for 365 days.There is also an option to opt for "per second" plan which provides all local and std calls at 1 paise/sec with an erecharge of Rs 12(Talktime Rs 10.88/-)valid for 365 days.The local and national sms's are charged at 50 paise and Rs 1 respectively.All roaming calls are charged at 60 paise/min.Virgin is providing their services on Tata Docomo's network.Following are the details a user may require in day to day use:-

Virgin is offering its subscriber in Orissa (Odisha) a tariff of 20p/min for STD and local calls to any Virgin Mobile number without any pack. Virgin Mobile customers calling any other network will be charged at 40p/min for local and 50p/min for STD calls again without any packs. Virgin Mobile has launched its GSM services in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Chennai and Tamil Nadu Circle. Virgin GSM SIM Card is available at Rs. 49. It comes with zero balance and lifetime validity. To activate the SIM First Recharge of atleat Rs. 10 is necessary. Apart from Rs. 10 other FRC denominations are Rs. 25, Rs. 40, Rs. 50 and Rs. 100. Default call rates are Re. 1/min for local calls and Rs. 1.5 for STD calls.Two Tariffs - Pay Per Minute and Pay Per Second - are available to reduce the default call rates.

Virgin Mobile to launch GSM services soon

Virgin Mobile,the youth brand of Tata Teleservices is planning to expand its reach by launching its GSM services. According to our sources Virgin Mobile will be very soon announce launch of its GSM Services in Mumbai & Maharashtra and Chennai and Tamil Nadu Circle.It is possible that Virgin Mobile GSM may use TATA DOCOMO's network just as Virgin Mobile is using TATA Indicom's network to operate.TATA DOCOMO is yet to roll out its services all over India so it will take time for Virgin to establish its mark all over India.
TTSL has recorded the highest no. of subscriber during a month from past 3 months. TATA DOCOMO is the main factor behind this. Time will tell what benefits will TTSL reap after the the launch of Virgin Mobile GSM services.
