Videocon now offers 1000 Videocon minutes and 100 Videocon sms/day in RC 59

Videocon mobile was very much in news since past few months because of the various exciting offers they had in their kitty but Videocon has started to show signs of truncating the party of those fellow subscribers who have taken Videocon because of the low cost services it offers. This may come as a surprise to those who were using "Truly Unlimited" calling plan costing Rs. 59 (which used to offer unlimited calls and sms to local videocon numbers) as videocon has stopped giving unlimited calling recently and introduced a not so great offer which gives 1000 Videocon minutes and 100 videocon sms/day valid for 30 days. Looks like Videocon used to sing songs of "Truly Unlimited" calling just to lure customers and now that they have a bunch of subcribers, they have snipped the "Truly Unlimited" plan. Just for the record, Videocon started offering all local and std calls at 25 paise/min with a monthly recharge of Rs. 17 or Rs. 25 (depending on ur circle) few months back and within two months they introduced a fair usage policy to the above scheme where only the first 1000 minutes of the month are charged at 25 paise after which calls are charged at 35 paise/min.
We wont be much surprised if they curtail their "Truly Unlimited" internet plan as well in near future.
The On-net calling plan of uninor which offers 2000 local uninor minutes in Rs. 37 is lot better than the revised RC 59 plan of Videocon.

Videocon Mobile Services introduces a new recharge option which offers its Mumbai customers unlimited STD at local rates. With the new launch, users will be able to make both STD and Local calls at only 25paise per minute. Videocon’s offering is an extension of its UNLIMITED campaign. All calls at 25 Paise sounds too good to be true. Its really a tempting offer specially for the ones who make lots of STD calls. If you are not a Videocon customer and planning to become one, then beware, please confirm with someone whom you know about the Videocon Network related queries in your area. I used Videocon for quite some time but then was fed up with the bad network, though the plans are cheap but for me network availablity with good voice quality is also important. Videcon launched its mobile services in Gujarat a few months back. I recently bought a Videcon SIM Card to try out its GPRS. Videcon is offering unlimited GPRS Pack for 30 days at Rs. 96. I am expressing my views about it as a normal mobile user so I will not mention any technical point. But before that lemme tell you which handset I used for trying out GPRS and in which telecom circle I used it. - I used it on Nokia N97 mini in Gujarat telecom circle. Here is what I feel about its GPRS - I do not like it at all. The speed is too slow and it get disconnected many times. As I told you earlier that I bought Videcon Mobile Services' SIM Card for trying out its GPRS but apart from just using GPRS I used it for calling also and in this area also Videcon did not satisfy me. For me satisfaction is in terms of quality of service and not in terms of cost as like many other operators Videcon also offers 1p/sec tariff.
If I have to rate Videcon's GPRS outta 5 then I will give it 1. For Call quality it will get 2.5 outta 5 from me.

Yesterday Reliance Communication announced free access to Facebook via 0.facebook.com. Now one more Telecom Operator in India is providing free access to Facebook via 0.facebook.com. Videcon Telecommunications Ltd today announced that Videocon GSM Mobile Services is now offering their customers free mobile browsing on the 0.facebook.comVideocon Mobile Services is offering free access (no mobile Internet data charges) to the 0.facebook.com service to its subscribers for at least one full year. The length of the offer is at the discretion of Videocon Mobile Services.
Facebook’s 0.facebook.com site is optimized for speed – it is a new faster, lightweight version of Facebook’s mobile site m.facebook.com. The site does not have graphics or photos and 0.facebook.com’s pages have been designed for performance on the Videocon Mobile Services network. Videocon Telecommunications Limited, a Videocon Group company announced the launch of its GSM Mobile services in Gujarat Telecom circle.Deploying a future ready 2.75G EDGE GSM network in Gujarat telecom circle, Videocon offers an unprecedented sub 1 paise effective tariff, which is designed to suit all pockets with a tariff plan that is transparent and simple.
Videocon introduces two attractive tariff plan at the launch. Under the Rs 399 monthly recharge subscribers can make unlimited free local calls both (with FUP of 3000 minites) on their own network as well as to other networks while with another Rs 149 monthly recharge plan, subscribers can make one hour of local calls free every day.
