Uninor has announced a new Special Tariff Voucher - STV 22 in Andhra Pradesh that allows Uninor customers to make local calls on its network at 2 paisa per minute across Andhra Pradesh. Uninor claims that these are the most competitive on-net call rates available in the circle. The STV comes with a validity of one month.
Uninor crosses 25 million subscriptions, within 18 months of launch

If you are a Uninor subscribers, you are now one of 25 million customers which Uninor now have in India. Uninor has crossed 25 million subscribers milestone in India. Uninor launched its commercial service in eight telecom circles in December 2009. With the launch of an additional 5 circles the company reached its current commercial footprint of 13 circles in June 2010. The 25 million milestone was thus reached in 18 months of the first circle launch and within 12 months of completing its current commercial footprint.
UP East (4052377), UP West (2996857) Bihar (2811398) and West Bengal (2381818) have emerged as the strongest circles for Uninor, together contributing almost 48% of the total subscription base. These are followed by AP (2342188), Maharashtra (2197374) and Gujarat (1964986).
Based on the last subscription data available for all operators (Apr 2011), Uninor now ranks No. 8 cumulatively in its 13 commercial circles. In some of these, Uninor is just about a year old. Its market share is now more than double of all other new operators combined.
“Our long-term ambition is to establish ourselves among the top 6 operators in each of our circles. There is some distance to go till we reach that goal, but we are encouraged by the progress we are making.” said Sigve Brekke, MD, Uninor.
25 million subscribers in 18 months is a big figure, it shows the hard work put in by the guys at Uninor, but these subscribers might also include those who just buy the SIM cards for getting more talktime then what they are paying for it or those who get SIMs for free, use the talk time and throws it.
Uninor launches STV 36 in Mumbai, offers STD calls at 30 paise

Uninor today announced launch of new STV for its customers in Mumbai. With the new STV 36 Uninor's customers in Mumbai will be able to make all STD calls at 30paise/min. Priced at Rs. 36, it comes with a validity of 30 days.

Uninor offering International Calls for as low as 1 Paise/Sec in Karnataka

Uninor customers in Karnataka can now stay connected with their families and friends living abroad as the company has introduced new ISD offers which offers low tariffs of about 1 paise/sec across 35 international countries.
Uninor’s 111 ISD pack comes with a talk time of Rs. 100 with 30 days validity for international calling at lower rates. Uninor has also introduced an additional STV 22 ISD pack that offers the same ISD call rates to customers with 30 days validity but without talktime.

Uninor and handygo tie up to launch a Health App called 'Wellness World'

A health app called 'Wellness World' has been launched by telecom company Uninor and value-added services provider handygo. The application has been designed to provide up to date information regarding heart care, women's health, diet and nutrition, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), pain management, sexual health, stress and love, relationship and adolescent issues.
handygo Technologies has partnered with various hospitals such as VIMHANS, GM Modi, Jaipur Golden hospital and more to provide information for the app.
The application is available on both IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and SMS (Short Messaging Service) platforms to provide daily information to Uninor's subscribers on health related issues. To access this service, Uninor subscribers can dial 522770. Uninor is also offering subscription packs for this service.

Uninor today announced that it will be offering its subscribers in Mumbai very heavy discounts on local on-net calls. The discounts will range from 85% to 96% depending upon the location and the time. The best part about this plan is that Uninor subscribers will not have to pay anything extra for special recharge to get benefit of these discount rates, as its available as default to existing as well as new subscribers of the Dynamic Pricing plan.
If you are not on Dynamic Pricing Plan of Uninor then to avail the benefit of this discount you need to get a special recharge of Rs. 26 which comes with a validity of 3 months. Uninor's Dynamic Pricing Plan offers discount upto 5% to 60% on local calls to other networks.

Uninor launches new STD Recharge Vouchers for Jharkhand and Bihar

Uninor has launched a special recharge voucher called the STV 21 and STV 41 for its customers in Jharkhand and Bihar. Using these two offers, customers can avail free STD minutes from Uninor to any network across the country.
STV 21 comes with a validity of 15 days and offers Uninor customers 50 STD minutes free, while on recharge of STV 41, customers can avail 100 STD minutes free with a validity of 30 days. The unique feature of this offer is the ‘Carry Forward’ option in which a Uninor customer has the option to carry forward their unused free STD minutes on their next recharge with STV 21 or STV 41 within the validity period.

Uninor expands in Andhra Pradesh by opening 25 new Retail Outlets

Telecom Operator, Uninor announced that they will be increasing their retail outlet stores in Andhra Pradesh to 90 by adding 25 new retail outlets.
"Uninor has always been committed to extending its reach and services to our customers whether they are settled in the rural areas or the biggest cities of the state. At present, we have 65 Uninor branded stores across three different innovative retail formats and we look forward to a 90 store footprint by June end,” said Satish Kumar Kannan, Business Head-A P Circle, Uninor.
