Uninor announced the launch of a new scheme offering calls between local Uninor subscribers in Andhra Pradesh for as low as 3.2 paise per minute. Uninor customers in Andhra Pradesh can avail this ‘Local On Net offer’ on an electronic recharge of Rs 32 that provides 1000 minutes local Uninor to Uninor calling. A call to other operator subscribers and STD calling is charged as per the subscriber’s base plan.
Uninor currently has two services with two price plans– a base plan called talklonger@29p and a subscription plan called callmore@29p
Talklonger@29p is designed for customers who talk longer on their calls. The plan offers customers local calls at 29 paise per minute and STD calls at 49 paise per minute, with a call set up charge of 39 paise for the first minute.

Uninor has introduced recharge offer for its subscribers both new and existing. Under this offer Uninor is proving 30% extra talktime on selected recharges. This new offer be used for all types of calls including local, STD, ISD, SMS and other VAS services also. Subscribers can utilize this offer for both On-net and Off-net calls and messages.
This Bonus talk-time offer is valid on recharges of Rs.50, 100, 150, 300 and 500 denominations. The subscribers will get a talk value of Rs.55 on a recharge of Rs.50, Rs.115 on a recharge of Rs.100, Rs.175 on a recharge of Rs. 150, Rs. 355 on a recharge of Rs. 300 and Rs. 600 on a recharge of Rs. 500. Uninor has announced its first month-end subscriber numbers since the service launch in December 2009. By the end of the month Uninor had secured over 1.2 million (12 lakh) subscribers from the eight circles where its GSM service was available. The company had launched in the circles of UP (West), UP (East), Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh on December 3, 2009. Services in Orissa were launched later on December 22nd.
“We are building on our launch – scaling up our network and our distribution. We will continue to focus on customer experience – listening closely and respecting their wishes. We will also compete for every new subscriber. In a market this competitive, it will never be easy, but we have a long term ambition and we have made a positive start,” said Stein-Erik Vellan, Managing Director.

As per guidelines, the company has already submitted its monthly numbers to TRAI and COAI. It being early days and less than a month since fully operational circles, the company does not expect any significant impact of these numbers on the 2009 calendar year revenues.

Uninor today announced the launch of its global GSM service in Orissa taking its footprint to 8 circles pan-India. The Uninor GSM service is now available in the 9 states of Orissa, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.With its own network in 9 of the largest states in India and pan-India roaming already tied up, Uninor customers will be on a national mobile network from day one.

Uninor today announced the launch of its global GSM service in India. The launch will happen simultaneously in 7 circles. These include Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, UP East, UP West and Bihar (including Jharkhand). In terms of GSM footprint in a single day, this is the largest Greenfield launch operation in telecom history. On launch day, the network will cover a national footprint of close to 600 million – providing a global connection and pan-India access to the world’s largest population on day one. Uninor will be launching its Mobile Services soon. Mr. Sharad Goswami of Uninor told MobiGyaan that the date of launch is not finalised yet but its certain that they will be launching Mobile services within this year. Uninor's website was live from last few weeks. But recently they have uploaded various plan details, tariff etc on their website.I am sharing with you the tariff details which are there on Uninor's Website. I was quite surprised when I saw the call and sms charges.
