Uninor has introduced a plan 50 STD Min Free on its Unlimited Local Plan where the subscribers can choose 197 Plan and can talk to their loved ones on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan

For unlimited 197 plan users get 700 Local Min free on calls to any network in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, 2000 Local Uninor Minutes Free and now Raksha Bandhan Special 50 STD Minutes Free.

Uninor has also started a contest where users who are opting for Unlimited 197 between 18th and 25th August will have a chance to win daily prizes of free talk time, bike and handsets in lucky draw.

Uninor’s UP East subscribers can now make calls at 20-48 p/min as Uninor has announced the extension of its Dynamic Pricing plan to all STD calls in UP East. This discount is not just applicable on local but STD calls too - from Uninor to any operator.

Dynamic Pricing on STD calls is available on recharge of Rs. 28 with the validity of 90 days & Local calls is available on recharge of Rs 48 with the validity of 1 year.

Uninor subscribers in Andhra Pradesh can now avail recharge vouchers from their own cell phone. To subscribe to a voucher, the subscribers needs to dial the USSD code {*222*7* (voucher MRP) #}. On dialing this, an amount equal to the voucher MRP would be deducted from the subscriber’s main balance and the voucher would be activated.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, EVP Hyderabad Hub said “Uninor believes in quality service and empowering the customer is always top priority. Today, while time is falling short and physical distances are growing in Andhra Pradesh, we feel this service would be optimum where customers do not need to travel to the recharge outlet and can activate a voucher from their cell phone itself”

Uninor has launched a new Pack for Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh telecom circles which will allow its users to avail upto 60% discounts on a 1-paisa per second billing, not only for local calls but STD calls too - from Uninor to any operator.

This plan is available on a recharge tariff of Rs. 26 with a validity of 3 months. The earlier Dynamic Pricing plan with per-minute billing will continue to be available in the market.

Uninor today announced the launch of its GPRS services are now available in Mumbai, Maharashtra & Goa, Kolkata and West Bengal telecom circle. Uninor subscribers can choose from 2 GPRS Packs - MyConnect 9 and MyConnect 90.

MyConnect 9 is priced at Rs. 9 and it comes with 3 days validity. MyConnect 9 provides free data usage upto 60MB, after which user will be charged 10p/10kb. MyConnect 9 allows free browsing on twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and MyUninor - Uninor’s WAP portal.

Uninor has launched a new scheme ‘Ready…Set…Call’ for its existing customers. This scheme allows existing customers to make calls and win between 100 and 1000 free local minutes everyday. The scheme is available for all customers to participate in 3 times everyday till July 26th 2010.

Under the scheme, a customer receives an SMS with 3 call time slots during the day. The customer would need to call instantly at the start of the 'call time' hour to win. For eg : If a customer get an SMS with call time as 1:00 PM, the first 10 customers who make a call get to win FREE minutes. Uninor's existing customers can participate as many times as they want.

I recently bought a Uninor SIM Card to try out its Badalta Discount Plan. According to Uninor its customers can get 5% to 60% discounts on call rates. I am using it from past two days and the maximum discount which I got was 20%. Uninor offers all calls at 50 p/min for a year and Badalta Discount Plan is applicable only for local calls.

Uninor is now available in 13 telecom circles with the launch of its GSM service in 5 telecom circles today. Uninor today announced the launch of its GSM service in Mumbai, Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat, Kolkata and West Bengal.

The service is launched in all 5 circles with the new concept of Dynamic Pricing (DP). Branded as ‘24X7 Badalta Discount Plan’, DP will offer call discounts that will change from 5% to 60% with location and with time - with each cell phone tower broadcasting a different discount.
