Uninor ties up with RED FM to offer channels across India on mobile

Uninor has announced its partnership with RED FM powered by Hungama Mobile, to bring the radio experience in various languages for its customers. The tie-up will enable Uninor customers to enjoy a wholesome music experience, in their preferred language from their hometown radio station, now easily accessible on mobile handsets.


How does this work? Well, for example a Gujarati in Bangalore can listen to the RED FM of Ahmedabad or a Bengali in Mumbai can listen to the Kolkata radio Station. Customers can avail this Value Added Service by simply dialing toll free number 55935 from their Uninor number. Pretty neat, eh?

Uninor has just launched a new value for money offer in Mumbai. The new Special Tariff Voucher 21 offers low local calling rate at 30 Paise per Minute for all local calls made to mobile or landline within Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa.

Uninor customers in Mumbai are in for a treat. Uninor has today introduced ‘Extra Talktime’ Recharge offers which will give users extra talktime with unlimited validity at the same price.

Uninor arrives in Haryana unofficially [Exclusive]

Yesterday we saw that Uninor added the maximum number of users all over India. Now it seems that Uninor is all ready to launch its telecom services for the people of Haryana. Uninor’s website now has the Haryana telecom circle as the new addition to its serviceable areas. Uninor had won the license to provide mobile services in December 2009.
As per the website, the starter kit for Haryana is worth Rs. 25 and will come with Lifetime validity. The default call rates would be Re 1/min for Local and Rs 1.50/min for STD calls. There are 2 FRC available in Haryana. With FRC 6 you’ll be able to make calls at 1p/sec and with FRC 8 all your calls will be charged at 50p/min.
No details over discount plans or talk unlimited plans have been updated. Neither the information about SMS packs or Data packs is available yet. The company is only offering full talktime on recharge of Rs.50, 100, 150, 300 and 500. The company has not yet announced the launch of service officially but we can soon see some announcements from them. Uninor adds 1.9 million users, highest gainer for September

According to Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) Uninor was the highest gainer in consumers for the month of September and was able to add more than 1.9 million users to its customer base. On the other hand, Idea Cellular added 1.7 million customers; Bharti Airtel added 935,000 users and Vodafone was able to gain 848,000 new users in September.
According to reports, after falling for six consecutive months since February, mobile customer additions rose for the first time in September adding about 6.52 million users to India’s GSM user base and now the over-all customer base for GSM users in India is more than 618 million subscribers. Bharti Airtel’s total subscriber base now stands at 172.7 million and it enjoys 28% of market share while Vodafone follows with 23% of market share.
Also the circle with the maximum additions for the month of September is UP(E) with 764532 additions and also has the maximum number of subscribers with a total of about 51.11 million users.

Uninor has launched Special Tariff Voucher (STV) 18 ISD pack which allows its customers to make ISD calls to USA, Canada, UK Fixed Telephones, Hong Kong, China and Singapore for 1 paisa per second. This packs comes with a validity of 30 days.
