Essar Telecom Retail that operates The MobileStore an Essar group company is ready to introduce its own Branded Mobile Phone.The company is all set to introduce the Mobile Phone by end of April.
“We are seriously looking at launching our own mobile brand, offering a complete range of handsets to bring better value to our customers. We are currently negotiating with a couple of original equipment manufacturers (OEM),” Rajiv Agarwal, chief executive officer and director, The MobileStore, said, while refusing to give details.
The Mobile Store has decided its target segment – youth – and has fixed the price range to Rs2500 – Rs10000, since the company aims at meeting the challenges forged ahead by the competitive products, especially Univercell, a Chennai-based retail store and HotSpot of the Spice group.

The Prizes are :

MTNL will launch 3G services in Mumbai by May

MTNL announced that it will launch its 3G services in Mumbai next month, as it targets a user base of 1,00,000 for the third generation mobile service by year-end

"We are looking at launching our 3G services in Mumbai next month and looking at 1,00,000 users by the end of this year," MTNL Director (Technical) Kuldeep Singh told reporters in mumbai on the sidelines of a conference 'Managed Services India 2009'.
MTNL had already launched its 3G services in Delhi last year. He further said that MTNL would also expand its 3G services to the remaining parts of Delhi in the next two-three months.
"We will begin aggressive marketing for our 3G services when we would have a good user base and cover major parts of Delhi so this will be after two to three months only," he said.
At present, MTNL offers its 3G Mobille services-Jadoo in central and some of parts of South Delhi.

Virgin mobile launched Indian Hatke League

As IPL fever is about to grip the nation from 18th April, Virgin Mobile has come up with cricket fantasy game, Indian Hatke League (IHL), with an aim to leverage the cricket mania during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

The online game will provide users the option to play for any of the eight teams participating in the 47-day IPL, to be held in South Africa April 18-May 24, while their scores on the basis of performance will determine their standings.

Launching the game here, Virgin Mobile chief executive M.A. Madhusudan said the initiative was strictly a 'brand-building exercise. We have launched the game for the Indian youth and not just for Virgin Mobile customers. The players will compete against each other during the period with the prospect to win prizes at the end of the tournament.'
