Reliance Mobile in alliance with Aaj Tak to offer video news alerts

Reliance Mobile has tied-up with Aaj Tak to launch MMS News Subscription Service to its subscribers. According to this tie-up, a Reliance user will be able to access news related to National, International, Business, Sports, Entertainment happenings on their handset. The news alerts will be in video format sent to the subscriber as MMS clips. Reliance Mobile will send these MMS alerts twice everyday.

Reliance Mobile is offering the Aaj Tak MMS News Alert service on a 30-day subscription module. Customers wishing to avail the service can subscribe to it for Rs 30/month. Reliance Mobile is offering this service to both its prepaid as well as post-paid customers across both CDMA and GSM networks.

Call to all Vodafone numbers at 30 paise

Vodafone has announced the launch of three new Prepaid Bonus cards for its Customers of Kolkata circle. These new Bonus cards will enable Vodafone subscribers of Kolkata circle to call at 30 paise/minute to any Vodafone number within West Bengal.

To avail of this offer, Vodafone customers can recharge from a range of Bonus Cards priced at Rs 33, Rs 57, and Rs 123.
The Rs 123 Bonus Card comes with six months validity while Rs 57 Bonus Card is valid for two months and Rs 33 Bonus Card for one month. These new Bonus Cards not only offer the flexibility of different validity options but also makes calls more affordable at 30 paisa per minute between Vodafone numbers across Kolkata and West Bengal telecom circle.

MTS Extends Reach Across Kerala

MTS India today announced that it has expanded the coverage of its CDMA mobile service to all the coastal districts of Kerala, with the launch of services in the Kozhikode district. This foray marks the presence of MTS in 262 towns of Kerala, in less than two months of operations in the state.

Mr. Vsevolod Rozanov, President and CEO of Sistema Shyam TeleServices, said, "Kerala is an important market for us. We are proud of the expansion of our mobile telephony services in all the coastal districts of Kerala. It reflects the increased pace of development of our operations in India. We intend to extend our foot print to 300 towns of Kerala by end of June this year, and increase it to 400 by July."

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) is all set to launch a new platform to redress consumer grievance regarding inapt telecom services. The platform would enable Telecom Service users or subscribers to come forward with their grievances either through Online or SMS platform.

As such it is facing ire from lot of telecom subscribers complaining about low service quality experience and Wrong billing with Telecom Operators and Mobile-VAS providers.The upcoming platform will first Direct the grievances received from new platforms to the respective service providers and if those service providers are unable to redress the grievance within a set time frame, TRAI appointed personnel’s will look into the problem.
