MTS India adds new offers in its bouquet

MTS has always been aggresive when it comes to providing path breaking offers but the only thing keeping this company from attracting huge customer base is the lack of quality handsets. Anyway, MTS India  has launched new SMS Pack for subscribers in all circles, unlimited On-net pack for subscribers in Delhi circle and full talktime pack for subscribers in Bihar circle. 

Following are the details of the offer:
  • Subscribers in Delhi can now avail unlimited calling to local MTS mobile for as low as Rs. 99 valid for 30 days.
  • Subscribers in Bihar can now avail full talktime on Rs. 222 and Rs. 333 recharge which comes with zero validity.
  • MTS has reduced the unlimited sms pack rate by a huge amount. Initially unlimited sms pack was priced at Rs. 104 but now the same pack comes for Rs. 64 which is quite competitive as other gsm providers are offering same pack at almost same price. This pack comes with a validity of 30 days and gives 500 Local and National sms everyday.

 

Airtel gears up for 3G roll out - selects network partners

Airtel airtel-3g-1today announced that it has chosen Ericsson India, Nokia Siemens Networks and Huawei Technologies as network partners to launch 3G Services in India. These partners will plan, design, deploy and maintain 3G HSPA Network in Bharti Airtel 3G license circles.

Further strengthening its relationship with Ericsson, Bharti Airtel has awarded majority of the 3G License Circles to Ericsson India. With this, Ericsson continues to be Bharti’s largest Network Partner across 2G and 3G circles in the country.

On the same lines, Bharti has also expanded its relationship with Nokia Siemens Networks, which would manage Bharti’s 3G Network in 3 circles across India.

Bharti Airtel has also introduced Huawei Technologies as the 3rd partner for offering 3G services in a few circles.

In its statement Airtel said :
Airtel’s 3G services, enabled by our partner’s expertise, will usher in a new era of unique life style products. The offerings will be specifically targeted towards mobile broadband, given the enhanced speed and user experience which the 3G technology enables. The partners will play a catalyst role in enhancing the customer experience and the data usage habits in the country. In addition to being HSPA+ (High Speed Packet Access) ready from launch, the 3G network will support world class user data speeds and enhanced mobile broadband user experience. High Speed Packet Access plus enables high peak user throughputs which are multiple times higher than those supported in current 2G networks.

Videocon (Tamil Nadu) launches two new offers

With this Special tariff, you can now make all on-net STD calls for just 25 paise whereas all off-net STD calls will be charged at 45 paise. This special pack comes with a validity of 30 days and can only be availed via electronic recharge mode.

Videocon also launched a new extra talk time recharge which is priced at Rs.45. This new extra talk time voucher provides a talk time of Rs.55, this special recharge can only be availed via electronic recharge mode. Please note, this offer is a limited period offer.

BSNL announced revision of 3G Data Tariff

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has announced the revision of its Unlimited 3G data tariff for both Prepaid and Postpaid Customers. BSNL has reduced the price massively. BSNL has reduced its Postpaid and Prepaid 3G Data tariff by almost 46%, earlier the Fixed Monthly Charge of Unlimited 3G Data Tariff for Postpaid subscribers was Rs 2499, BSNL has revised it to Rs 1359. In case of Prepaid recharge vouchers the revised price is now Rs 1499, earlier it was Rs 2756.


Apart from reduction in 3G Data tariff, BSNL has also announced introduction of new short term validity data recharge vouchers for 3G prepaid customers.

BSNL re-launches Broadband Promotion scheme - Unlimited download and Waive off Installation Charges

bsnl-broadbandBharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd has announced the relaunch of its Broadband Promotion scheme which allows 15 days Unlimited Free download and waiver of installation charges to the new customers who will register for BSNL Broadband connection before 15th November 2010.

According to our sources BSNL is planning to introduce this promotional scheme in all the telecom circles, however there may be some delay in launch of this scheme is certain circles. Please visit your nearest BSNL Customer Care Centre and confirm if this scheme is available in your circle.

Vodafone launches Night Radio in Karnataka

Vodafone subscribers need to dial 55170 (toll free) and they will be guided through an IVR to activate NIGHT RADIO. Users can choose from local hits and Bollywood numbers to devotional songs and enjoy the most popular songs on Vodafone NIGHT RADIO any time between 11.00 pm and 7 am.  Vodafone NIGHT RADIO is available in English, Kannada, Hindi and Tamil. Vodafone NIGHT RADIO can be accessed through all handsets, thus enabling even a rural customer to enjoy the benefits of this service.

Tata Indicom launches ‘Doctor on Call’ Service

This service provides assistance under any medical emergency situations and also provides medical consultations. The calls for consultation are chargeable at Rs. 9 per minute.

To avail Tata Indicom - Doctor on Call service, subscribers need to dial 54887, and a doctor registers the personal data and medical history of the subscriber. The attending Doctor diagnoses the cases whether they feel that the subscribers’ case falls under the given three options- Acute/ Chronic/ Emergency. If it is an acute condition, the caller will be given three different diagnoses by the attending doctor who will also suggest some home remedy to the caller for immediate relief.

MTNL (Mumbai) slashed ISD call rates

mtnl-logoMTNL has announced  reduction in ISD rates. Customers using MTNL Landline service and Garuda (Fixed/ Mobile) can now talk at a low call charge to 26 counties all over the world. MTNL Landline customers can make calls to U.S.A., Canada, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, for as low as 80paise/min depending on their landline plan. Garuda (Fixed/Mobile) customers can also enjoy low ISD call rate of just Re 1/ min to the above countries. This is a limited period offer for two months. This offer is effective from 15th September 2010.

MTNL had already reduced the ISD tariff for GSM (Dolphin and Trump) customers. And the reduction of ISD calls for Landline and Garuda customers would now benefit more than 46 Lakh customers all over Mumbai.

Virgin Mobile GSM now in Gujarat

virgin-mobile-2After the launch in 5 South circles, Orissa, Mum & Mah, UP (E), UP (W), MP&CG, Kolkata, Haryana, Bihar, RoWB & Punjab circles, Virgin GSM has launched in its 17th circle, Gujarat. 

Now, consumers across all the GSM circles will be offered a special tariff proposition of STD @ 40p/min which allows Virgin Mobile customers to call anywhere in India, across any network, at a flat rate of 40p/min. This flat call rate of 40p/min is applicable to all local and STD calls made anywhere in India with no conditions, no hidden charges like daily rental and no pack purchase required. 

At the time of launch, Virgin Mobile GSM services will be available in Gujarat through more than 7,500 RCV and 5,813 SUK outlets. Virgin Mobile has also come up with an offer of "Get Paid For Incoming" for new subscribers in Gujarat wherein a subscriber will get 10 paise/minute for receiving calls from any mobile in India. Virgin mobile also plans to launch the much successful "Per second billing" within few days for subscribers who talk less.

We have seen Virgin GSM being aggressive during the launch but these offers are just to attract the customers. Virgin GSM doesn't have much to offer customers in longer run if we take a look at the trend in other circles. Let's hope this jinx is broken in Gujarat circle.
