Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced two new STVs/Boosters for its users in Tamil Nadu. Now users can opt for these STVs/Boosters and make calls to their loved ones at reduced call rates.
With STV 152 BSNL users will be able to make Local and STD voice calls to other BSNL numbers all over India at just 10p/minute. Also they'll be able to call all other numbers at just 30p/minute. This STV/Booster will carry a validity of 30 days from the date of recharge.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) the pan-India 3G service provider is now offering free 3G data card if users are willing to make a longer commitment to stay with it.
BSNL will be providing free 3G Data card (3.6 MBPS, Single Band, USB Type, Terracom Make) to new customers who opt for a 3G prepaid data plan in Tamil Nadu and Chennai telecom circle.

MTNL introduces new Xpress unlimited broadband plans in Mumbai

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has announced the introduction of new Broadband plans for its users in Mumbai. Called the 'Xpress Combo Unlimited' Plans, these plans provide users a great browsing experience at a speed of 2Mbps.
The Xpress Combo Unlimited Plan 600 will give users a speed of 2 Mbps upto 8GB and it will be reduced to 256 Kbps after the 8GB limit is exhausted. With Xpress Combo Unlimited Plan 750 users will get the speed of 2 Mbps up to 15 and speed will be decreased to 512 Kbps later on. With Xpress Combo Unlimited Plan 1000 users will be able to enjoy 22 GB of data usage at the speed of 2 Mbps and after the limit the speed will be down to 512 Kbps.

So we heard a couple of months ago that a new telecom policy is underway and should bring in a roaming-free environment with one-nation, one-tariff and nation-wide mobile number portability. News back then was that it will be implemented by early 2012, however according to sources the implementation of the new policy has been delayed and that it should be here by June 2012.
Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal had announced the Draft New Telecom Policy 2011 in October and had said that the new policy would be ready after incorporating comments from all stakeholders by the end of this year.

Matrix Cellular has introduced new services to international telecommunication solutions. Indians now travelling abroad can use their data services along with voice calls with a Matrix SIM card on their smartphones at one-tenth the cost of International Roaming.
As you all know using data services on your handsets on International roaming can cost you a fortune.
