Airtel users can now get personalised Hello Tunes with their name in it

Airtel now allows you to personalise your Hello Tunes with its all new ‘Name Tunes’ service which allows Airtel mobile customers to personalize their Hello Tune with their own name. With this, Airtel mobile customers can stamp their caller tune with their own identity by following a simple process that allows them to search and set their name as their Hello Tune.

To avail  the “Your Name Your Tune” service, Airtel mobile customers need SMS NT <space> <First Name> to 543215 (TollFree). After that the customers need to choose from search results of names that are presented and set the same as Hello Tune.

Exclusive: BSNL doubles bandwidth of Broadband UL 750 Plan to 1 Mbps

MTNL introduces Weekly SMS, STD calls pack and half-yearly 3G data pack

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has announced the availability of three new packs for its subscribers in Delhi. MTNL has introduced a Weekly SMS pack for prospective users. Priced at Rs. 15, this weekly SMS pack will allow MTNL users to send out 400 Local and 200 national SMS all over India for 7 days.

mtnl-logo-bigWith the Weekly STD pack, users will be allowed to make a total of about 150 minutes of free STD calls at just Rs. 55 for one week. The free minutes (local or STD) are valid for calls made from home circle only and not on roaming. MTNL has not levied any limit on the number of recharges; a customer can do at any given time. There is no cumulative usage validity on doing multiple recharges. Only the minutes given on recharge will be cumulated if the customer does multiple recharges on the same day.

Machine to machine and person to machine messages to be exempted from 200 SMS limit

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has today announced and has exempted the machine to machine and person to machine messages from the limit of 200 SMS per day per SIM.

The provisions of The Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010 which came into force from 27th September 2011 stated no Access Provider will be permitted to sending of more than two hundred SMS per day per SIM.

MTNL to offer minimum Broadband speed of 512 Kbps in Mumbai

The New Telecom Policy is yet to be implemented and MTNL has taken an initiative to redefined Broadband services ahead of Telecom policy that, minimum download speed for Broadband customers will now be 512 Kbps in place of 256 Kbps.

This makes MTNL Mumbai the first ISP in India to offer minimum Broadband speed of 512 Kbps. Shri Peeyush Agrawal, Executive Director, MTNL Mumbai announced this initiative to be introduced from Republic Day.

Super Zoozoo comic series launched by Vodafone

All you Zoozoo lovers out there we have n announcement to make. Vodafone has just announced and launched an online comic series featuring the much loved Super Zoozoo called "The Adventures of Super Zoozoo". The comic will be available exclusively on Vodafone Zoozoo's Facebook page, and will introduce fans and readers to the vast, black and white Zoozoo universe where crocodiles invade picnics and superheroes don't need secret identities.

Bharti Airtel has just enabled a new service for pre-paid mobile customers in India. Airtel pre-paid customers can now recharge their mobile phones online at www.airtel.in/prepaidrecharge through net-banking. This is in addition to debit card and credit card payment options that were launched earlier.
