Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today launched its 3G GSM mobile services in business city Vijayawada, Guntur, Prakasam and Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh telecom circle. BSNL 3G services allow telecom operators to offer Video calls, high-speed Internet with speed Up to 3.1 Mbps and various multi media services.

According to the BSNL announcement its 3G Network is ready in 29 Cities/Towns across the state and we will roll out the commercial services in all districts by the end of this month. The existing BSNL 2G prepaid mobile subscribers can migrate to 3G services just by one SMS "M3G120" to 53733 while Postpaid 2G subscriber need to send "M3G25" to 53733.  Add a comment

TATA Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited has launched the TATA Photon+ in Pune. TTML earlier launched TATA Photon + in Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur and Goa. The Tata Photon+ service will be accessible via both USB Modems and Routers, catering to consumer and business segments. TATA Photon+ USB device is available at Rs. 2299.

Vodafone Essar  today announced the launch of ‘Vodafone Star of the Match’ competition for the upcoming DLF IPL Season III. Through this competition, Vodafone provides an opportunity to all its customers to be seen on national television being honoured by the winning captain during the post match ceremony. The winning captain will present the ‘Star of the Match’ with a personally autographed match ball.

One ‘Star of the Match’ will be chosen for each of the 60 DLF IPL matches that will be held this season. Since this is a nationwide competition, Vodafone will provide each winner with a return trip air ticket and hotel accommodation at the city where the match is played. Add a comment

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd has announced promotional tariff reduction for its EVDO postpaid unlimited plan. Earlier BSNL EVDO users who were using unlmited were paying Rs. 999 per month to avail unlmited download/upload but under this promotional offer all the existing customers and new customers can get the unlimited plan at Rs. 750 per month. Existing customers of BSNL of are using any plan other than unlimited plan can switch to unlimited plan to avail reduced tariff. The promotional offer is valid till 31st March 2010. Add a comment

Reliance Communications has launched a new VAS application – 'Socially', made available through its data portal RWorld. The new application is designed to enable users to follow the recent activity of friends and to update their status on different social networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn through a single client.

Since its launch, TATA DOCOMO has been DOing THE NEW. Today it has done the new once again. TATA DOCOMO Introduces Industry first Rollover Plan, a plan that offers Rollover of unused talk time to a Quarter for its Enterprise Customers.

Under the Rollover plan (I will call it as RO Plan), customers pay by the month and enjoy the facility of carrying forward their unused free talk time and SMS for a period of 3 months.  Under the offer, there are four variants of plans available RO 500, RO 799, RO 1000 and RO 1099 available at a monthly rental of Rs 500, Rs. 799, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 1099 respectively. Vodafone has officially launched its Mobile Applications Store in India. Though Vodafone Mobile Application store was started on 15th February, 2010 in India, Vodafone waited for 10,000 + downloads to happen before officially announcing the launch.

Vodafone Mobile Apps Store offers over 800 applications under various categories like Entertainment, Utility, Finance, Social Networking, Games, etc. These are a mix of Indian and internationally developed applications and serve a diverse range of functions from daily utilities to pure entertainment.
