Tata Indicom extends Global Data Roaming to postpaid customers through Cyberpass

Tata Indicom (Maharashtra) today announced the launch of global data roaming. This first-of-its-kind roaming service will be available to Tata Indicom post-paid (mobile, walky and data card) subscribers. Users can access the World Wide Web though dial-up, broadband or from Wi-Fi zones, across the world, using a single login and password enabled by Cyberpass. Globetrotters can now stay on top of their mails, send large files and browse the internet with a simplified billing structure that allows cost certainty when they roam abroad. How it works:
This Global Data Roaming Service can be activated through a simple registration process at Tata Indicom and “Cyberpass” websites. Once registered, the user can download the dialer from the Tata Indicom website for a hassle-free log-in across the globe. While on roaming at an overseas Wi-Fi zone, a customer can login through the dialer after selecting the appropriate service provider from the dropdown list, and start enjoying the extensive coverage provided by Tata Indicom. Users will also be able to view their Global Roaming Usage by going in to the “My Usage” sub section in the “Cyberpass” website.

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited has yet again launched a tailor made value added service for its subscribers in Mumbai. They can now access taxi, auto fares and the local train timetable on their Tata Indicom mobiles via sms.To avail of this service subscribers simply have to type ‘TAXI' /‘Auto' followed by the ‘meter reading', and send it to 58282 for e.g. ‘TAXI 1.20', to get the correct day and night fare. For the next available train schedule one has to simply type ‘TRAIN' followed by the ‘(source & destination)' and send it to 58282 for e.g. ‘TRAIN Andheri Dadar'. Each SMS will be charged Rs. 3.

Tata Teleservices has partnered with ICICI Bank to offer mobile banking services to Tata Indicom subscribers registered for mobile banking with ICICI Bank. Now these customers can avail of banking services with just a click of the button. The subscribers can now manage their finances while on the move using their Tata Indicom mobile phone via iMobile a Brew based application.With the initiative Tata Indicom aim at offering convenience of currently accessing ICICI Bank’s financial services with the help of Tata Indicom mobile.Tata Indicom through mobile banking applicationwill allow its subscribers to transfer funds to any Bank account, Pay bills, top up prepaid mobile recharge. View account balances, last five transaction history, presented bills, , credit card payment due date, etc. Not only this, the customers can also, locate an ICICI Bank branch, ATM and phone banking numbers. The service also provides the subscribers the opportunity to access the credit card, demat and Loans services, to name a few.
The iMobile application can be downloaded onto the handset through, BREW catalogue on our server on all the handsets. The customers need to have a data enabled handset that supports this application. With the nation in the midst of electing the next government, Tata Indicom has come with a customized value-added service ‘Elections 2009’ for its subscribers. The service provides information on elections, from latest news, updates on candidates and party profiles and much more. Tata Indicom subscribers can access this service through SMS, Tata Zone, Voice SMS and CRBT.
To avail the service through SMS, subscribers have to simply type “Ele” and send it to 58282 and get the latest Election updates. Each SMS will be charged Rs. 3/-.
Subscribers also have the option of subscribing to the election pack on a weekly basis where they will receive two Election alerts and profile of one candidate on a daily basis at just Rs. 10/- for 7 days. TATA Indicom will soon launch its GSM service

Tata Teleservices has announced that they are planning to launch their GSM operations in May.Anil Sardana, MD TTSL said "The company has received spectrum (for GSM) in all circles, except in Delhi, and would start launching GSM mobile services in southern states soon followed by eastern India."
Lloyd Mathias, chief marketing officer, TTSL spoke about their plans: “Our tie-up with Japanese operator DoCoMo will enable us to offer a wide variety of world-class products and services. Though our plans are not concrete yet, for GSM, our focus will be more on revenue share than the number game.”

If you are a Tata indicom postpaid mobile phone user, you can now get sms alerts of who called you and when.
Missed calls alert notifications will be sent to subscribers in the below mentioned scenarios:

The missed call alerts will be sent to user in the form of sms. It will have following information:
