Tata Indicom Offers ‘Andhra Pradesh SSC Results’ through SMS

tata-indicom-logoTATA Indicom announced that its customers can now avail the benefit of knowing SSC Board Exam results on SMS. The customers can follow a few instructions to instantly get the results on their Tata Indicom mobile phones, conveniently.

To check the results, customers need to dial 505101096 and provide the students’ Roll Number. Further more Tata Indicom also offers a feature of “Pre-registration”, wherein customers can register their Roll Numbers by dialing 505101096 and they will be notified through an SMS as soon as the results are announced. As a second option customers can also have a choice of getting the result by sending an SMS to 58282. Ex: SMS RESULT to 58282.

SSC Board Exam (10th Class Examination) Results (Andhra Pradesh) will be announced on May 19, 2010. Each SMS service will be charged at Rs. 3 per SMS and for IVR at Rs. 6 per minute.

TATA Indicom introduces 3 new Unlimited Calling Plans

Unlimited 299 Pack comes with a validity of 30 days at Rs. 299. It offers unlimited local T2T calls + 1000 minutes for calling other networks.
Unlimited 599 Pack comes with 30 days Validity at Rs. 599. It offers unlimited T2T STD calls + 1000 minutes of STD calls for calling other networks.

These packs are somewhat similar to what Reliance CDMA is offering through its "Simply Unlimited CDMA Packs"

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Rated the Congestion-Free Network for the Sixth Time

tata-indicom-logo-1Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (TTML), the CDMA Mobile and Fixed Wireless service operator has announce that it has been rated as the only congestion-free network for the sixth consecutive time, by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), in its geographies.

In the report for the third quarter of the financial year 2009-10, TTML’s network has recorded zero congestion across all its points of interconnect (POI). The report, which TRAI releases quarterly, gauges the seamless availability of telecom services. This is the sixth successive TRAI report that has rated TTML as the best network provider in its geographies.

Commenting on this achievement, Haridev Khosla, president, network, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), said, “We are extremely happy that our network has yet again been rated as the only congestion-free network, six times on the trot! In spite of the increase in our subscriber base, careful monitoring of our systems and immediate augmentation for high-traffic cell sites have held our network in good stead. This achievement stands testimony to our endeavour in ensuring that we provide top-quality services for our customers.”

Tata Indicom Introduces Prepaid BlackBerry services with weekly plans

Under prepaid segment, BlackBerry users have two service plans - Blackberry Messaging Bundle and BlackBerry Internet Bundle to choose from. Blackberry Messaging Bundle and BlackBerry Internet Bundle are available at a monthly package of Rs 299 , Rs 900 and weekly package of Rs 85 and Rs 250 respectively.

Under BlackBerry Messaging Bundle service plan, users get unlimited access to e-mail and instant messaging. It allows customers to access as many as ten email accounts on Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Google Mail and chat on popular messengers like Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk and Yahoo! Messenger. TATA Indicom launches STV8, STD calls at 50 paise/minute

tata-indicom-logo-1TATA Indicom has launched a new Special Tariff voucher to bring down STD call rates to 50 paise / minute. This STV is priced at Rs. 8 and named aptly as 'Special Tariff Voucher 8'. It is available for all new and exisiting TATA Indicom Prepaid mobile subscribers across all the 22 telecom circles in the country. This special offer allows customers to make all STD calls at 50 paise per minute for 30 days.

‘STV 8’ is not applicable on plans like Pay Per Call, Pay Per Call Flexi, Pay Per Second, All 50 and Celebration plan. Also, this STV cannot be clubbed with any other voucher at the same point of time. This STV will only change STD  tariffs; all other tariffs will be as per base profile.

TTSL Unveils First-of-its-kind ‘Customer Service Charter’

Under this Charter the company guarantees pre-determined levels of service and support—and includes ‘Compensation Clauses’ to pay back  customers if the set service levels are not met. This initiative commemorates the 171st birth anniversary of Tata Group Founder, Sir Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata.

The Customer Service Charter includes five customer commitments, namely The Bill Dispute Commitment, The Call Drop Commitment, The Handset Replacement Commitment, The VAS Commitment and The Call-Back Commitment.
  • The Bill Dispute Commitment offers resolution of every bill dispute within three working days, failing which TTSL will compensate its customers with Rs 25 for every additional day taken to resolve the complaint
  • The Call Drop Commitment promises call drops less than the 1.5 per cent of total calls made in a month, failing which the company will refund 2.5% of the customer’s last billed amount
  • The Handset Replacement Commitment ensures that loaner handsets will be issued to customers in case the handset cannot be repaired over the counter at TTSL’s I-Care Centre
  • The VAS Commitment offers free trial of any chosen Value-Added Service, before buying the product
  • The Call-Back Commitment promises that call centers will be accessible to customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week and that calls will be answered within 90 seconds, failing which the company will call the customer back within two hours.

TATA Teleservices added highest number of subscribers 6th time in a row

tata  teleservicesTata Teleservices Limited emerged as the Number One telecom operator in the country for the sixth consecutive month in terms of new subscriber additions, adding more than 2.98 million subscribers in January 2010.

Tata Teleservices Limited added 2,981,853 new subscribers in January 2010 from its CDMA and GSM operations put together. In December 2009 too, TTSL had showed a healthy growth in new subscriber additions, adding 3,336,476 new subscribers.

Tata Indicom introduces "Pay Per Call Flexi" in Maharashtra and Goa circle

Finally TTML has launched the much awaited "pay per call" concept plan in Maharashtra and Goa circle.This plan is dubbed as "Pay Per Call Flexi" which is one step ahead of Pay Per Call call because of its unique tariff of all local calls at 1 Rs and STD at 2 Rs for a duration of 5 minutes but if the call lasts for less than a minute then a standard rate of 25 paise for the 1st minute is applicable for both local and std calls.
Following are the Tariff Details:
  • Local calls are charged at 1 Rs/5 min
  • STD calls are charged at 2 Rs/5 min
  • 25 paise for both Local and STD calls for calls lasting less than a minute.
  • Local and STD sms charged at 30 paise.
  • Daily Deduction- 1 Re.
This tariff will be available for 1 year on first recharge of 96 Rs for new customers.Post 1 year the tariff changes to 1 Rs/min for local and 1.5 Rs/min for STD.The plan offers 10 years of incoming validity.

Existing customers can recharge with 196 Rs to avail this plan.

Push 4 All Mail eliminates the need for expensive data plans or high-end phones to receive emails and rich attachments on the go at the same time customers will have to no longer need worry about device capability and email client installation on the handset.
