Tata Docomo has finally launched Local and National SMS Pack for subscribers in Mumbai,Maharashtra and Goa after a huge debate over this issue on Tata Docomo's Official Orkut Community.You can check the heated discussion between Tata Docomo subscribers and the owner of Tata Docomo community here
This topic was started by none other than me. It got huge response in the community.The owner of Tata Docomo community had given our feedback and complaints to their management and the result is in front of us today.
Following are the details of this pack:
For subscribers in Mumbai :
Customer has to do a special evd recharge of Rs.85 to get 15,000 Local and National SMS valid for 30 days.
For subscribers in Maharashtra and Goa :
Customer has to do a special evd recharge of Rs.60 to get 15,000 Local and National SMS valid for 30 days.
Both circles can use SMS PACK with any other special recharge offer.
This is a very good move by Tata Docomo as there was no sms pack for National sms in both circles. TATA DOCOMO customers were spending 1.20 Rs for a national sms so this pack however costly will give some relief to SMS lovers and stop them from shifting to other providers.

Terms and Conditions
- Daily implies active till 12 midnight on the same day of pack activation. Ex: A subscriber activated the pack on 16th March 2010 then the pack with daily validity will expire at midnight of 16th March 2010.
- In case on night packs the expiry of the pack will be 12 midnight of the next day of activation of the pack.
Ex: A subscriber activated the night pack on 16th March 2010 then the pack with daily validity will expire at midnight of 17th March 2010. - The pack will get activated within 15 minutes of request receipt on the system. TATA DOCOMO Introduces Industry first Rollover Plan for its Enterprise customers

Since its launch, TATA DOCOMO has been DOing THE NEW. Today it has done the new once again. TATA DOCOMO Introduces Industry first Rollover Plan, a plan that offers Rollover of unused talk time to a Quarter for its Enterprise Customers.Under the Rollover plan (I will call it as RO Plan), customers pay by the month and enjoy the facility of carrying forward their unused free talk time and SMS for a period of 3 months. Under the offer, there are four variants of plans available RO 500, RO 799, RO 1000 and RO 1099 available at a monthly rental of Rs 500, Rs. 799, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 1099 respectively.
The other highlight of the plan is that it extends the concept of ‘per-second’ billing. It also makes available the free usage in seconds. For example the RO 1099, offers 150000 seconds of free local calls and 72000 seconds of free STD calls per month. The customers can carry forward the accumulated unused free talk time and free SMS each month, for a period of three consecutive months (90 days). The roll over benefit will be applicable for 8 consecutive cycles with each cycle comprising of 3 months.

Yesterday TATA DOCOMO launched its mobile services in Gujarat. Here are the Prepaid tariff details of TATA DOCOMO for Gujarat telecom Circle.TATA DOCOMO SIM is available at Rs. 49. It comes with lifetime validity and zero talktime.

TATA DOCOMO will charge its subscriber for first SMS of the day and will provide 200 Local or National SMS free for the day. These free 200 SMSes will no be valid on New Year, Valentine's Day, Diwali Eve, Diwali and New Year Eve.
TATA DOCOMO customers in Gujarat can enjoy call rates of 1p/4sec (between 11PM-7AM) for On-Net (Tata DOCOMO, Tata INDICOM and Virgin Mobile) and ISD calls at 3p/sec for calls made to US, Canada and UK fixed lines for 180 from the activation of connection if they will acquire a connection before 30th April 2010.

TATA DOCOMO launches GSM Mobile Services in Gujarat

TATA DOCOMO, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices Limited, has launched its operations in Gujarat telecom circle, as we claimed in our earlier article. TATA DOCOMO is already present in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai, Rest of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kolkata, Rest of West Bengal, Jharkhand-Bihar, Punjab, UP (East) and UP (West) telecom Circles. The company’s Next-Gen GSM service started on a heady note in Gandhinagar, capital of Gujarat, with Tata Teleservices Limited Managing Director Anil Sardana lighting the ceremonial lamp in the presence of TATA DOCOMO President Deepak Gulati.
TATA DOCOMO announced its “Pay-for-what-you-use” model in Gujarat. TATA DOCOMO is also launching India’s first mobile community in Gujarat—Buddynet—wherein members will enjoy never-before calling rates within the community—1 paisa for 6 seconds for local calls, and 1 paisa for 2 seconds for STD calls. Buddynet members will also get free access to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Linked-In and Nimbuzz. Furthermore, TATA DOCOMO subscribers in Gujarat will also benefit from special SMS tariffs, wherein the first SMS of the day will be charged at 60 paisa—the next 200 SMS in that day, local or national, will be free.
From the day of the launch, TATA DOCOMO will cover 487 towns and cities and 770 villages in Gujarat, along 1,969 km of the state’s highways, at airports, along 1,700 km of rail routes and at places of tourist interest. Coverage in the districts of Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Jamnagar will be provided soon after the receipt of spectrum from the Government of India.

Gemalto’s offering will help further liberate customers from remembering complicated codes and configuring services each time a user changes his mobile handset.The Gemalto solution provides TATA DOCOMO subscribers with easy-to-navigate menus that enable them to enjoy a wide range of value-added services (VAS), using any type of mobile phone. With services located on the SIM, the user can easily browse through his service menu and launch the service on his handset with a simple click. What’s more, an intelligent systems helps Tata DOCOMO keep track of user preference and choice and a content gateway at operators end ensures that regular content update in real time. For e.g. if the user selects an ongoing India Sri Lanka Cricket series as an option, then the user will receive all the related content on his mobile phone without having to stream the news from the menu service tab.
TATA DOCOMO subscribers benefit from innovative services including mobile banking, mobile chatting and information on demand, through a user-friendly interface. They can also customize their mobile phone with wallpapers and ringtones, and enjoy games and infotainment. Users are offered to choose between Hindi and English when activating the service.

Tata Docomo has added one more facility under the BuddyNet belt by giving free internet browsing to popular social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Orkut and Nimbuzz. Only BuddyNet subscribers can avail this facility under the Tata Docomo Dive-In or Tata Docomo Internet apn.BuddyNet rental applicable for availing this facility.Terms and Conditions :
- The free browsing benefit is only applicable to browsing the specified social networking web/wap-sites namely – Facebook, Twitter, Nimbuzz, Linked- in and Orkut.However any embedded applications and external URLs/Links will be charged at base tariff rates( i.e. 1ps/1kb)
- Free social networking sites browsing offer on BuddyNet is a limited period offer and can be modified or withdrawn by the company at its sole discretion.
- It will be applicable to all Tata DOCOMO customers enrolled for BuddyNet. The benefits will be applicable only while the customer is a member of BuddyNet.

Tata DOCOMO has launched the all new “Balance Transfer” and “Product Gifting” features for its BuddyNet users.The launch of these unique features will enable friends to share talktime with any member of their BuddyNet Group as well as gift a recharge to them.Only the Tata DOCOMO BuddyNet subscribers will be able to transfer talktime and gift a recharge to another Tata DOCOMO prepay subscriber.The core objective is to ensure that a friend will help another in the time of an emergency or save a friend from physically doing a recharge himself. The following is the process of Balance Transfer & its Charges:
- In order to transfer Balance, the subscriber needs to type “BT<
Target Mobile Number> < Amount>” and send it to 54321 - For Example to Transfer Rs.25 Talk-time from 9030012345 to 9030099999. The sender types "BT 9030099999 25" and SMS to 54321
To reverse the Amount a subscriber needs to type “RBT<Transaction ID>” and send it to 54321
SMS to 54321 for Balance Transfer will be charged at Re.1 and for reversal will be Toll Free.

< Gift recharge amount>” and send it to 54321 - For example 9030012345 gifts the pack to 9030099999. The sender types " Gift 9030099999 11" and SMS to 54321.
Putting 11 as the gift recharge amount offers 1000 local sms to your BuddyNet friend with a validity of 30 days.
You can gift as many sms packs you want to your BuddyNet friends as long as you are having a balance of more than 11 Rs in your account.There will be no deduction for SMS. And Rs.11 will be deducted from the sender’s CORE account.The SMS will be posted in the POOL Account of the recipient.
Conditions:
The Balance for Gifting has to be Rs.12 at the time of transfer. If balance is not sufficient the transfer will be declined
- Reversals will not be allowed
- The system will recognize “GIFT” or “gift” or “Gift”.
