Tata DOCOMO and Samsung Mobile today announced the launch of the first Android-powered Samsung mobile phone with in-built Google Mobile Services—Samsung Galaxy (I7500)—in India. It is priced at Rs. 28,990. Samsung Galaxy is a cutting-edge Smartphone, featuring a 3.2” AMOLED full touch-screen and 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, providing users access to Google Mobile services and full Web browsing at excellent speeds.Along with supporting a 5-megapixel camera and various multimedia codec formats, the I7500 also provides a long battery life (1500mAh) and generous memory capacity (Internal Memory of 8 GB and Expandable External Memory up to 32 GB) to enjoy all the applications and multimedia content. The phone also boasts a slim and compact design—it is a mere 11.9mm thick.

TATA DoCoMo has changed their website's look. When you will visit TATA DoCoMo's website www.tatadocomo.com you will see a COOL blue color box with words on it - "Welcome to refreshingly different land". If you will click on it you a new page will open which will help you to calculate that how much can you save by using TATA DoCoMo.
The new look definitely looks better then the earlier look. As of now only look of frontage page - tatadocomo.com 's is changed and not of the other pages.

TATA DOCOMO launches Unlimited GPRS Packs

Few days back we reported that TATA DOCOMO will launch its Unlimited GPRS Packs soon. The wait is over now, TATA DOCOMO has launched Unlimited GPRS Packs. Unlimted GPRS Plans :
- Rs 15 GPRS Pack: It will allow to access unlimited data for 3 days
- Rs 95 GPRS Pack: It will allow to access unlimited data for 30 days
Please note that while on roaming (in India) you will be charged 10p/10kb.
To start using it you will have to select DOCOMO internet APN on your handsets after downloading the GPRS settings.
TATA DOCOMO claims that with a GPRS connection, the phone is "always on" and can transfer data immediately, and at higher speeds.
Once you have bought the GPRS Pack :
To start using internet on your phone all you need is to save the settings as default settings. (By default you are provisioned for TATA DOCOMO Internet and DIVE IN at the time of purchase of the connection if you have a GPRS compatible handset.) To get Internet settings SMS "INTERNET" to 52270 (toll free on TATA DOCOMO HOME & CHARGED Rs.3 at non DOCOMO Network) and save them as default settings. Once you have done that, just go to your internet browser on the phone at start surfing.

TATA DOCOMO to launch Unlimited GPRS Plans soon

TATA DoCoMo will soon announce the launch of its unlimited GPRS Plans. TATA DoCoMo Representative on Facebook said "A lot of users have given us feedback on GPRS ... so watch out for the announcement of unlimited GPRS packages soon. Browse for as much as you like at rates that most other operators can still dream about!". TATA DoCoMo Representatives also posted 2 tweets on twitter.com where they posted some details about Unlimited GPRS Plans, however those tweets were deleted and instead this tweet was posted "Ok guys Unlimited GPRS coming your way - pls wait for package confirmation". Probable Unlimted GPRS Plans :
- Rs 15 GPRS Pack: It will allow to access unlimited data for 3 days
- Rs 95 GPRS Pack: It will allow to access unlimited data for 30 days
These Plans are not officially launched yet.

TATA DOCOMO recently launched BlackBerry Services. As of now TATA DOCOMO users have option to choose between 2 Plans - DO 299 and DO 899. Plan Do 299 is a basic plan , it allows to check upto 10 of your mails like Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail etc. So DO 299 Plan is for those people whose primary requirement is to check & send emails and chat while on the move. Plan Do 899 provide unlimited Domestic Data Usage. International Data is charged at Rs.5.5 per 10 KB. If you are using any one of TATA DOCOMO's partner networks while roaming nationally then your data usage through the BlackBerry Browser (which includes Instant Messaging, access to configured mails on the device and social networking through Facebook or MySpace icons on the Device ) is free on the DO 899 and DO 299 BlackBerry Data Plans.. Only usage of the Dive-In Portal (WAP Portal) and Internet Browsing (either as a tethered modem or through any other browser other than the BlackBerry Browser) will be charged at the rate of 10 paise/10 KB.Comparison : Do 299 (Mail lite) and Do 899 (BIS)

TATA DOCOMO and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the launch of the BlackBerry solutions. TATA DOCOMO will offer the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphones to its customers. TATA DOCOMO has offered two flexible plans for BlackBerry data service—‘Do 299’ and ‘Do 899’. The ‘Do 299’ plan covers unlimited data usage for e-mail and instant messaging, while the ‘Do 899’ plan includes unlimited data usage for Internet, e-mail and instant messaging access. Tata DOCOMO has announced another innovative offer - "Diet-SMS".This offer will give customers the never-before option of paying for any SMS they send on a per-character pricing plan. The cost of any ‘diet-sms’ will be only 1 paise per character used, thereby providing complete value to customers. Furthermore, there will be no charge for spaces between words. The Best and Unique part of the offer is that any customer can choose the Diet-SMS option when he/she has short text messages to send—he/she can continue to use the regular SMS option for longer SMS. However the there is a catch here - In the diet-sms service, each SMS merely costs you 1 paisa per character, up to a maximum of 15 characters.To send a diet-sms, a customer has to:
- Go to the SIM-based menu on the phone (called Dive-in Now), scroll to the diet-sms option under the English Language menu, open it and send the SMS; or
- TATA DOCOMO has also launched a phone application which can be downloaded from TATA DOCOMO ‘Dive In’ wap portal, or by simply sending a SMS “diet” to 54321. Using this diet-sms application, the customer can send short text messages easily; or
- TATA DOCOMO customers can also send a diet-sms using the normal SMS menu. They need to type the mobile number followed by a space followed by the message and sms this to the short code 52208.
The downloaded diet-sms application also contains a bank of most common short SMS as templates. Customers can select from any of these templates and send the message by simply clicking ‘Send’. “The diet-sms service is revolutionary and tailor-made to suit Indian customers—a survey conducted by TATA DOCOMO found out that a majority of SMS sent in India are very short—we designed this application after studying trends such as this, in order to benefit the customer,” Mr. Gulati said.
The diet-sms service is available to customers on the per-character pricing plan on the Tata DOCOMO network only.

Tata Docomo the GSM Mobile service provider today launched its Mobile service in the Madhya Pradesh - Chhatisgarh circle by introducing one paisa per second charges tariff. The Company’s GSM services began with 1st call to Cheif, Minister of State Mr.Shivraj Singh Chauhan and to Dr Raman Singh the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh during the launch. The customer care of TATA DoCoMo for Madhya Pradesh-Chhatisgarh is 90390-12345.
"With the launch of Tata Docomo GSM service in MPCG circle, we are launching the concept of fare being fair so that the subscribes will be able to enjoy the benefits of Pay-as-you-use by introducing one paise per second pulse," Tata Tele Services Limited (TTSL) Managing Director Anil Sardana said announcing the launch of GSM service in a press conference.
"The service is transparent in a way that you pay only for what you use like if you have made a call for one minute and 20 seconds then you have to pay only for that period and not for two minutes as is the practise with other service providers," he said.
"All calls, within network, outside network, roaming, domestic and international calls will be charged as per the one paisa per second pulse never-before tariff option,"he said.
"Though we are late in the GSM sector, we have arrived with the latest 3G technology in collaboration with Japan's leading service provider Docomo," he said.

TATA DoCoMo is all set to roll out its Mobile Service in Mumbai. We have some exclusive details regarding the TATA DoCoMo’s Official Launch. The company will be launching its GSM Mobile service tomorrow i.e 6th August. The core GSM network of TATA DoCoMo is live across Mumbai and while doing a manual network search IND-039 or 405-039 will be shown.The help line number for TATA DoCoMo Mumbai is 90290-12345. TATA DoCoMo will be the 8th GSM operator in Mumbai, the six other operators are Vodafone, Airtel, MTNL, Loop mobile,Idea,Reliance GSM and Aircel.
Further the company also its announced that it will expected to launch its GSM mobile services in Maharashtra and some other circles soon. Presently the company operates in 5 circles. The company sources said that in partnership with NTT Docomo, the TATA DoCoMo would introduce more personalised products relevant to the Indian context. As a part of the agreement between TTSL and NTT Docomo, a Business and Technology Cooperation Committee was set up that was engaged in integrating technology, value added services, products and applications.
