Spice Mobility Ltd has announced that they are planning to switch to being a technology company focused on the Mobile Internet space. Their strategic roadmap says that they are to complete the first phase of the switch by Sep 2011.

Spice Mobility launches QT-95 & QT-68, 3G + 2G Dual Mode QWERTY mobiles

Spice Mobility has expanded its QWERTY mobiles portfolio with the launch of QT-95 & QT-68. Both QT-95 and QT-68 features 3.2 mega pixel camera, Video recording, MP3 player, Java support and Stereo Bluetooth.

Spice Mobile launches 3D phone, View D

Spice Mobile has launched a 3D display mobile phone –‘View D’. View D will allow the mobile phone users to view images, videos and even the interface in 3D. The auto-stereoscopic display will provide the user a 3D experience without the 3D glasses. This phone also comes with stereo surround sound and dual speakers. With the popularity of 3D televisions, movies and other video content, this phone is good for those who want to experience 3D experience on a mobile phone.

The View D’s screen is designed in such a way that the user can toggle between a normal 2D or 3D user interface as per their choice. The mobile phone also features ‘remote wipe’ that deletes the phone data remotely. This is done by sending a unique SMS to the phone. This works even after the phone is lost and this way the user can prevent sharing its private and confidential data.

The View D is priced at Rs 4299. The phone includes 2MP Camera, FM Radio, MP3 player, Expandable memory upto 16GB, 2.4” 3D display screen and GPRS and WAP technology. The Spice M-67 3D mobile phone is available across India through more than 50,000 retail points including the 750+ Spice HotSpot retail network.

What will be more interesting to see is the battery life of this phone. Nobody wants to compromise on battery life these days. This phone also lacks EDGE feature. It only supports GPRS and WAP technology so the internet speed wont be upto the mark.

Spice Mobiles launches Dual SIM phones - M-5161 & M-6363

Spice Mobiles has expanded its portfolio of handsets with the launch of Dual-SIM phones M-6363 & M-5161.

M-6363 features 2 inches screen & 2 Mega Pixel camera. The phone has multi-media entertainment options such as Video player with multiple format support, MP3 Player, FM recording with Wireless FM, Dual Expandable Memory Slots & Bluetooth. It also features Motion sensor which allows songs to be changed with a flick of the hand. With a strong battery back up of 1500 mah the phone supports talk time of 7 hrs. With the dual expandable memory the phone also has in built applications like JAVA & GPRS. It is priced at Rs. 2,999.

Spice Mobility announces 3 new Android based devices

Spice Mobility has unveiled new Android phones under “Connected Spice Life” series. These phones are powered by powered by chipsets from Qualcomm. These phones are Mi-300 and Mi-410. Spice Mobility also unveiled Android based tablet Mi-700. While Mi-300 is launched, Mi-410 and Mi-700 will debut around October- November this year.

The Spice Mi-300 is a 3.5G Android v2.1 ready device, with integrated Spice mobility offerings including a bouquet of customised applications developed by Spice Digital. The phone features a 3.2” HVGA Capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It has GMS & MS Office, GPS & A-GPS for location tracking or turn-by-turn directions, Wi-Fi, Push E-mail, G-sensor, E-compass and Proximity. It comes with a 5MP Camera and is powered by the MSM7227 chipset from Qualcomm. MRP of Spice Mi-300 is Rs. 9,990.

Mi-410 Ver. 2.1 has a 4.1” HVGA capacitive display. This Wi-Fi enabled device also has 3G (HSDPA), Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR transferring data at 24Mbps, AGPS, GMS & MS office. It  is powered by the Snapdragon MSM8255 chipset from Qualcomm.

The Mi-700 Ver. 2.2 has a 7” HVGA touch screen. This handheld tablet has Wi-fi, Bluetooth and 2G/ 3G. Add to that a hot swap memory card slot, USB data interfaces and Dual camera for video calling. The Mi-700 is based on the MSM7227 chipset from Qualcomm.

Spice Mobile launches S-7000 full touch screen mobile

Spice Mobile announced the launch of its new mobile S-7000. The new S-7000 boasts of 3.2” full touch screen for wide screen viewing, digital surround sound and multiple format video player. The advanced multiple format video player, plays videos in most of the popular formats. It is priced at Rs. 7499 and available only in white color.

The handset also has multimedia features like 3.2 MP camera, Bluetooth, expandable memory of 16 GB, Mobile Modem & EDGE support for instant access to internet, Wapedia to read more than 10 million articles on various topics, Vuclip to watch online videos and pre-loaded Social Networking applications like Facebook and Nimbuzz.

Spice Mobiles have launched new music series phones M-6464 and M-6262. The music series phones come with Yamaha Amplifier and Dual speakers. You can easily access MP3 Player by one touch. External memory is expandable upto 8GB.

Spice Mobile launches M 7070, Dual SIM Camera phone

Spice Mobiles has launched the new Spice M-7070. Spice M-7070 is a Multi SIM (GSM+GSM) handset. It features 5 MP camera, 8x Digital Zoom, Anti- shake and Auto- focus. It supports 30 fps video recording. Spice Mobiles claims that the Anti-shake feature of M-7070 ensures that all the images come out blur–free even in case the hand moves while taking the picture, thus delivering faultless shots. The Face Detection locates human faces and automatically adjusts the focus and exposure. This camera phone also lets you click picture in low light with its Dual LED Flash.
