Sony Xperia S to be announced in India on the 10th of April

We have some news that Sony Mobile will be announcing its new NXT range of Xperia devices in India, with the introduction of the Xperia S next month.


The Xperia S is Sony’s first handset after they transformed into Sony Mobile Communications from Sony Ericsson and it is also the company’s first dual-core smartphone. The expected price of the smartphone should fall between Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 33,000 however there is no confirm news.

Sony was a little late to the tablet business but is on time to announce the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for its Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P.
The Japanese giant has announced that the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade will be arriving for both the tablets in coming April.

As all the 2011 and 2012 released Sony mobile handsets await to get the most wanted Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, Sony has added a new device to its Xperia range for China which will be the company’s first mobile to run on Android ICS out-of-the-box.
Called the Sony Xperia Neo L MT25i, the device is destined to be a successor to Xperia neo and neo V however it doesn’t have any high-end specs and seems to be a mid-ranged Android device.

Benchmark results can sometime reveal a lot about upcoming devices and this time around Nenamark which is a popular Android device benchmark testing tool has helped us discover a new tablet from Sony.
Though Sony is lagging behind when it comes to the Tablet market, it is not here to rest. Sony has introduced a new touch sensor technology, called floating touch with the launch of Sony Xperia Sola smartphone. The technology lets you interact with the phone without touching it through hand gestures. It lets you control the user interface by letting your finger hover above the screen. Floating touch enables the phone to register your finger up to 20mm above the screen.

Just yesterday we had found a leaked handset by Sony codenamed as MT27i ‘Pepper’, well Sony has officially announced the handset and has named it as the Xperia Sola.
Just like the previous Xperia NXT devices, it will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but will be receiving an ICS upgrade in the near future.

A new handset from the Sony Xperia NXT family has been spotted. Codenamed as the MT27i ‘Pepper’, the smartphone seems to have similar looks the newly announced Xperia series (S,P,U) except for the LED band below the display.


While the official specs of the handset are still a mystery, sources claim that it might be the successor of the Xperia Neo.

The recent transformation of Sony Ericsson in to Sony Mobile Communications has been looked upon by many, and we really liked the new Xperia line-up that Sony announced. With the new smartphones, Sony finally got in to the dual-core processor market.


MWC saw some promising smartphone and tablet announcements and the biggest one being quad-core smartphones. Even small Chinese vendors like ZTE and Huawei showed off some brilliant smartphones laden with quad-core chips. While we saw Sony, introducing its first dual-core handsets the Xperia S, U, P and Ion. A bit too late?

Sony has finally taken the covers off its Xperia P (Nypon) and Xperia U (Kumquat) smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2012. Both the devices will go on to join the Xperia S which was unveiled at the CES 2012 back in January and will be a part of the NXT series.

Leak after leak after leak! The Sony Xperia U or code-named Kumquat ST25i is planning to take away an award with a record number of leaks before its official arrival. The Xperia U is here again posing before us but this time accompanying the Sony Xperia S which was launched at the CES back in January.

The tiny 3.5 inch device also hints the design pattern that Sony may have decided to follow this year on all its devices and that is the transparent notification bar at the bottom of the device which is also present in the Xperia S.
