Samsung beats Nokia and becomes Smartphone leader in India

The smartphone market was reportedly led by the Korean giant Samsung as it sold about 28 million smartphones globally in just one quarter of 2011.

Is this how the ICS firmware will look on the Galaxy S II?

Samsung ships 1 million units of the Galaxy Note

The Galaxy Note seemed like an odd device. The 5.3 inch 'Phablet' was announced back in October and the company expected to be huge success while techies believed that it might face the same fate as the Dell Streak 5 which has been a huge disappointment and a letdown for Dell.

No ICS but a 'Value-Pack' for the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab is in works

A few days back Samsung said that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will not arrive for the Galaxy S and original Galaxy Tab and this created quite a stir.

Samsung-Galaxy-SYesterday, Samsung said that it was investigating and trying to bring the update to these devices. But today we hear that Samsung will instead release a 'Value-Pack' update for the two devices.

bada 2.0 will arrive in Q1 2012 to Wave devices: Samsung Spain

Back in September Samsung announced that all bada running Wave devices will receive the bada 2.0 upgrade in Q4 2011,  but now it seems that the date has been shifted to Q1 2012.

Samsung Spain has confirmed that the bada 2.0 update will reach users in Q1 2012, also contradicting Samsung Italy's previous claims that the update will come in Q2 2012 (So this news is good). The update will reach all Wave devices excpet Wave 525 and Wave 533. There is no specific date of availability but users can expect the upgrade by January-February 2012.

Samsung under pressure, says will try ways to bring Android ICS on Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab

Just a few days back we told you that Samsung is planning not to bring Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade to Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab due to issues with the TouchWiz UI and lower RAM and ROM limitations.

RUMOUR: Samsung Galaxy S III may arrive at MWC, Galaxy S 3D in making

As we are getting near to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is scheduled for February 2012, we are hearing more rumours about upcoming devices. And this time around it is being said that Samsung may announce a probable Galaxy S III, the successor to its most successful Galaxy S II at the MWC.

Android 2.3.6 update rolling out for the Galaxy SII in India

According to sources a new Gingerbread build for the Samsung Galaxy SII I9100 is already rolling out in India. The update is said to be available via Samsung Kies, no news on OTA update, so it means it's only available via the pc software.
